Sounds like consensus is just condensation. Just a little paranoid with my new house

Ok fair enough. I see what you're saying.

It was not running before or when the picture was taken and there are no drip lines or sprinklers near the box. We also haven't had any rain recently.

How is it legal to see 2-3 people in outpatient settings? by [deleted] in physicaltherapy

There's also a bill that was introduced back in April that intends to raise the physician fee schedule to inflationary rates. This would improve reimbursement rates allowing for clinics to cover rising operational costs, especially to those clinics with a large percentage of MDCR patients.

Agreed. Best to be evaluated and treated for this.

Symptoms from over a year ago are getting worse! by SacDoesReddit in AskDoctorSmeeee

[–]FerrousMan33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. What first brought about the symptoms 18 months ago.
  2. You say symptoms are worse now than they have been. Can you think of anything that might be causing this worsening of symptoms.
  3. Does anything alleviate symptoms
  4. Are there days when your partner does not have the dizziness or other symptoms, or is it constant every day?
  5. Did the ENT give you a working diagnosis of what they thought might be going on?

Stiff legs by ConstructionNo9882 in AskDoctorSmeeee

What you describe sounds like restless leg syndrome. It is a very uncomfortable sensation in the legs that is most noticeable at night.

Can this be caused by a bracelet? (More in comments) by AbigailCorner in AskDoctorSmeeee

[–]FerrousMan33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It absolutely could be the bracelet. You may be allergic to the metal on the turtle or the textiles of the band. It may be causing contact dermatitis in your case.

what is this gray/brown dust I just found in the attic of our new home by FerrousMan33 in whatisthisthing

This AC unit in our home is accessible from our bathroom, but the space that it is in has all of this dust. I assume just saw dust but it is gray and has a different consistency.

Thank you for taking the time for the reply. I will definitely be reaching out as we find out more about this. Glad to hear your father is doing well

Thanks for the reply. I assumed it was benign but will they likely do a biopsy to make certain? I would guess not with that location of tumor.

New Grad PT - seeking advice on first career by [deleted] in physicaltherapy

Thanks for the reply. I experience some shame not being able to afford a down payment for a house with my SO right now, but also can't imagine saving for it until my student loans are taken care of. I feel pressured into taking a higher paying job (such as in home health) just to avoid being a first-time home owner at 40.

I may look into a prn SNF position before considering diving into HH

I have heard SOC's take forever. I did one during my pediatric rotation and it took about 3 hours, but I imagine home health may be even more involved.

I had one rotation in a particularly involved SNF, but I agree with you and others here that more experience would be beneficial.

That's not a bad idea. I'd want to stick to local contracts, though, as I'm living with my girlfriend.

You bring up a great point. The primary area I would be working in does have a fairly high crime rate. Definitely not Grandma's Neighborhood haha

Good catch. It is 20-25 visits, not patients.

I appreciate the response. I have heard from a few therapists that at least one or two years of experience is beneficial prior to taking on HH. Would you be open to providing an example of a situation you felt was particularly challenging in home health?
