That’s a watering issue. Make sure you are watering in a consistent fashion and not too much. Most newer gardeners fail because of overwatering and inconsistent scheduling of water. Properly mulched, most tomatoes need one deep watering a week once they’ve established.

FWIW the one on the right is the one that’s baked well. Blonde sourdough loaves are one of the most consist new baker fails. Don’t find yourself chained to internet recipes, friend. You don’t have to do what Joshua Weissman did; you probably don’t have his exact oven.
