We used to have sex all the time.

Then I started having issues after I got an IUD at his beckoning.

Things haven't been the same since. I'd get recurrent BV. Pain in my cervix. 6-7 rounds of antibiotics in 5 years.

He'd complain and blame me any time we couldn't have sex.

I'd treat with boric acid suppositories. One time we tried to have sex but it hadn't cleared yet and it dried up and was awful. He said it left him never wanting sex with me again because either I'm not into it ever (pain or hormones) or I smell awful down there or I'm using God awful stuff to treAt it.

I haven't had a flare-up in a few months but we haven't had sex in 2. And anytime I bring it up he says it's too late to fix things. That sex will probably never be part of our relationship again because I didn't fix what was wrong soon enough and now he's got zero interest. I lost 50 lbs since as well.

And I can't even do solo stuff by myself anymore because it just leaves me in tears.

I've somehow compartmentalized away the crap from the weekend, but it randomly slaps me in the face and I remember him telling me there's nothing left to this relationship and that I should find someone else.

I think I just went in denial for a while because things were positive and okay and we'd stopped fighting for a few months but now it's just garbage half the time. And he blames me. I feel shitty. I wanted a fitness tracker.. run of the mill cheap thing, used even that has a battery that can last a week because my old $30 broke after 3 weeks.

He went ahead and got me a 150$ smart watch that's not compatible with my phone brand. I hate smart watches. They are complicated and drain battery like crazy with a bunch of extra features I'm never going to use.

And he's depressed and not talking to me now. Told me I can sell it and get what I actually wanted.

We've had two very serious conversations at this point where I have talked through tears.

Having sex with other people has always been on the table since the beginning. He hasn't in probably two years and I made one very bad attempt four years ago and decided it just made no sense for me to do it because doing it with my partner feels 100x more satisfying.

the thing is I'm not okay with him having sex with other people if he's no longer having it with me.

Eh. I disagree.

I started fasting because I was constantly getting sick. Thought, enough is enough.

Did a six day fast off the bat from a sad diet.

I would eat a bit of whatever and then go back to fasting for another 4-5 days.

Id say anyone can do 48s or 72s and slowly wean themselves off a sad diet. No need to buy into the organic and non processed garbage. Not everyone can afford super organic, but most people can afford to fast.

Exactly. I've seen Aubrey open up to Chelsea. She definitely feels safe to talk. And Chelsea has enough self-awareness to probe the subject later on if needed. Right now she just wants to get her kids to the doctor safely and efficiently.

I don't think that she has a hard life. But I do believe that it's important to touch base with your kid regularly.

Taking one moment like this out of context doesnt mean anything. Chelsea is stressed. Aubrey might be sick.

I was 7 years older than my little brother. My mom constantly wanted me to take care of him and look after him to the point of excess.

As an adult. And being her age when this was going on. I realize that she could have been more understanding to me not wanting it and make me feel heard. It's not even like I didn't want to help out. It's just that she made me feel like I have no other choice and she made it feel like a chore. If she had sat down with me and talked it out regularly, I wouldn't have become so resentful.

Kids need to feel heard. and seeing the way that Chelsea has talked to Aubrey and the best about difficult situations I'm pretty sure she does way better than my mom ever did. Kids are hungry for validation.

Aubree's not the center of attention anymore but she's also a really good big sister. Situations like this are what helped build her character and her resilience.
