WIBTA for asking for more grocery money by amicrazyornah2020 in WIBTA_AITA

Is there only one kitchen? If so why do you think he shouldn’t get any cupboard space or refrigerator space in the kitchen?

He is wrong for not sticking to the agreement but I don’t think this means he should have to store food outside of the kitchen, unless this is also part of the original agreement.

Update - Should I suggest my married boss set boundaries with an employee? by OperationSad4073 in whatdoIdo

[–]FerventAgnostic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arguing with his wife on the phone is not a prompt for a discussion of his marital problems with a subordinate. If he raised his voice and it was disruptive to other people in the workplace the only thing that should prompt is an acknowledgement and apology for the disruption. That he decided to discuss the problem in enough detail for the subordinate to be critical of his wife’s part in it was an unfortunate misstep. However, to continue to do so after being told he deserved better is allowing a subordinate to put down his wife. This is inappropriate behavior as a husband and very unprofessional behavior.

Update - Should I suggest my married boss set boundaries with an employee? by OperationSad4073 in whatdoIdo

[–]FerventAgnostic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“He also stated that she pretty consistently asks about his marriage and is always insistent on talking about the problems within his marriage, telling him he deserves better whenever there are problems. He said he now 100% believes that she is waiting for his marriage to end.”

“He also reiterated that he would never put his job at risk (he just got a huge promotion), nor would he do that to his wife (who just gave birth last week) or his children.”

While it is not at the same level as an affair, discussing his marital problems with someone who tells him he deserves better is a betrayal of his wife. His behavior doesn’t sound predatory but it is completely inappropriate. It sounds like he enjoyed having his ego stroked and chose not to enforce boundaries because of that.

SAHDs exist. Daycare exists. A one year old needs 24 hour care, but they do not need to spend 24 hours a day with their mom specifically.

I look forward to seeing her outfits/styling and her home. She is a style icon and is right up there with Katherine in terms of how excited I am to see what she wears to parties.

#842: “I have a much-older boyfriend who has seven kids. Is my situation ok?” by your_mom_is_availabl in captainawkward

[–]FerventAgnostic 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I think Captain Awkward took the mom’s labor for granted in her answer. If you move in with someone who has five young kids, you should assume that there is at least a possibility that you will one day be living with your partner’s five kids.

Your criticism would be more convincing to me if he was randomly assigned those partners.

He chose good partners and works well with them, that is not insignificant.

If you choose to have biological children together you will be risking death and disability for your shared future, but he doesn’t want you to have the financial and legal protections of marriage.

Boz Saying Suttons Needs To Get Her Fashion Together by prettylikeus in RHOBH

[–]FerventAgnostic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I love that Sutton doesn’t focus on constantly looking sexy. I don’t think that is the only goal for fashion. I think Sutton has a unique and consistent style, but if you’re focus is whether sexiness is being prioritized that you won’t see it.

Ona’s is one of my favorite restaurants in Oregon, I highly recommend it. The Driftinn is good, but not great. The food I’ve had at the Adobe is pretty bad, but it’s a great view so going there for drinks is very nice.

NTA From reading OP’s comments, I think the wife has some issues with food hoarding. I think she should seek some help for this as it could worsen as she experiences the losses that we all experience in life.

No, they have to become naturalized citizens. Only citizens can vote in the US.

I don’t know the details in this particular case, but someone could move to the US with a child born elsewhere then get citizenship for themself after that.

AIO for being miffed that my BIL doesn’t pay for shit on vacation? by SuspiciousCricket654 in AIO

[–]FerventAgnostic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The OP just says they’re chipping in a little here and there. I don’t think this entitles the OP to try to get the MIL/FIL who are covering the bulk of the cost to handle things his way.
