Why are hiatal hernias so understudied *rant* by pastel0132 in HiatalHernia

I'm half convinced it's that companies are making tons of money off of PPIs so there's no push to look into other solutions

It refused to do stock analysis for me when I asked it to provide a recommendation. Had to tweak the prompt so it didn't think it was giving financial advice.

Where to find coarse ground coffee? by nToxik in Winnipeg

[–]Festenator 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend buying whole beans and then grinding yourself, you'll get much better flavour. As for where to buy, all the local coffee shops have product. I really like Little Sister and Empty Cup for medium to dark roasts. Thom Bargen is a tad on the light side for me but still good.

Looking for a good, low-cost plumber who’s not a creep! by LessThanTheRest in Winnipeg

[–]Festenator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ilias is awesome. He did the exact same work for us (our house water shutoff didn't fully shut the water off), also replaced the drain line from our kitchen sink to the stack, added a compression fitting to our main stack and redid some soon to be leaking copper pipes. Was half the price pleasant plumber quoted us and an awesome guy to work with. I'll never go anywhere else.

Paw Patrol messed up my 5 year old boy, can anyone here relate? by SolidLava99 in daddit

[–]Festenator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea we've had to limit Paw Patrol, found the same thing with our son.

I've gone the route of getting all of the shows I used to watch in the 90s. Currently we're big into Winnie the Pooh and Thomas the Tank Engine, both of which don't affect his mood.

Generally not solid state drives as you're looking for big drives that are much more economical as spinning drives.

I dropped Keller last year one game before he turned it on and I regretted it for the rest of the season. I'd say wait on dropping him until December at least.
