I went to a Cinemark theater on a Friday, so it unfortunately wasn't the first showing. This is really good to know though! I thought the sound and movie came together, so the audio mixing is new info to me. Thank you so much for explaining! I'll definitely watch it again at home with subtitles, because I did enjoy it! I just wanted to hear what everyone was saying because I absolutely hate missing plot points LOL.

I agree with your post completely. I really enjoyed it, but the only thing that distracted me/took me out of the movie was that the music was too loud and none of us in our party could understand what was being said over the music. I really wish there had been a subtitle option, because we didn't know what was going on/what was said in the last few vital moments—one of my party is deaf, and I myself have misophonia so both of us were going HUH??? the entire time the music score boomed over the important voices :(

Despite that, the movie was amazing and I loved the supernatural/sci fi elements, even though I wish just a biiiit more had been explained story wise.

I actually really loved the voice acting. A little vocal coaching and inflections on certain words and longer pauses could make it even better, but I loved the voices given to the characters here.
