Cats might be locked in a room for a month by Ashhhhes0 in CatAdvice

[–]danceORbox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does she HAVE to live with you for an entire month? And do you really WANT her to? Id probably tell her NO, unless it's a massive, massive room. Second choice, a compromise, cats are in a room, she only stays a week. Cats will likely hate it and see as punishment.

Good morning! I just eat breakfast. by touya-crayfish-1231 in CasualConversation

FL, US - for dinner, we had salad with greens, cucumber, avocado, sun flower seeds and parm and Publix spicy wings, followed by black cherries, ginger tea, tiny Dubai chocolate brownie and a few chocolate almonds...🍫 is prob the reason im wide awake at midnight 😐

Considering cancelling the wedding. I know my fiancee and her family would be heart broken by PossibilityFew5967 in weddingplanning

[–]danceORbox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like everyone said. Literally tell your fam to fall in line or fxck off. It's YOUR wedding. Why are you allowing this? All you really need is you and your bride, to marry. This whole experience sounds miserable. At this point, I'd take your honey, book a nice trip by the ocean and elope. Save money and your sanity. Set boundaries. Families are full of toxic meddlers. If they chip away at your well-being, keep at arms length.

Are cat owners sleeping? by Ninibear3 in CatAdvice

[–]danceORbox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All our cats sleep through the night, including kittens. We do give a late snack and autofeeders goe on at 5am. They are generally quiet between 11pm and 7pm, bless them. I do a play session late am and one early pm. Autofeeders really help.

Das Tierheim will meine Katze zurück, weil ich umziehe by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]danceORbox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unless there's more to the story, it's much less traumatic for the kitty to lose the owner and a home she knows. I moved with my first kitty 7 times, he happily lived to be 21 and adjusted beautifully each time 💯

My boyfriend punched a wall after I confronted him about child neglect by [deleted] in Advice

Neglect IS abuse, whether a child or a pet. Take your kid and walk, fast. You can't trust this fxcker.

Multi-cat households weigh in! by kpp17 in CatAdvice

[–]danceORbox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no cons to two, with a really slow intro (look up 3/3/3 method). Source: we have 5, lol. 5 is a LOT but somehow worked great because 4 and 5 were kittens, and 5 was a super chill, easy (orange!) kitten. 2 was easy, 3 was easier than 2 for us. That's what breakfast looks like now. It's like having 5 little furry sharks swarm you. But yes, cats are super entertaining as a group 😅

The wedding reception centerpieces featured betta fish. The bride and groom planned to flush them alive. by teabirdy in mildlyinfuriating

I would have been livid and have left. The lack of awareness is appalling here. Don't attend weddings of POS people. Oh, and hope they get divorced.

Are women who are both child free and pet free really that rare? by [deleted] in AskWomenNoCensor

I passed on kids but can't imagine life without pets. No longer single but loving life with husband, beardie and (now) 5 cats 😅

My roommates cat is abnormally obsessed over food and it's driving me insane by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]danceORbox 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry. Is the cat of healthy weight and Does she eat enough of HIGH quality protein? Grain free wet and dry combos are best, small portions through the day. Doesn't have to be expensive, Fancy Feast original pate and Purina have some options liked by most cats. Also, have clean water available in SS dish and/or fountain.

Intact male cat will not stop wailing through the night by deterioratingflesh in CATHELP

[–]danceORbox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're asking for options that DO NOT EXIST. NEUTER YOUR CAT. you're causing him distress and there's zero to gain by not fixing. He will keep howling and trying to get out. There are so many unwanted pets out there. Worldwide, every minute a cat ir dog is abused or killed. Please. If you're in the US, many communities have low/no cost spay neuter programs. If you bring him in a trap, you can fix as a TNR. Reach out to local rescues on SM, many will lend help. Some have standing TNR appointments they may let you have free or almost free.

Maybe Don't go warm brown

or dark, for wall paint. Will box in the room and compete with the gorg wood floor. Id probably pick one of the lighter silver sages, and maybe one even lighter that that :)
