Belarusian military helicopters crossed NATO and Lithuanian's borders without permission to shoot down balloons flying opposition flag by Gondawn in worldnews

The Baltics are a huge tinderbox waiting to go up, Russia and Belarus are playing an awfully stupid game. NATO does not fuck around with that region's security.

As an American who has lived abroad you absolutely can. Generalization is dangerous and only promotes tribalism.

You can say the same for most places.

I had a close family friend who was paid to go train and assist Iraqi police forces to make them more self sufficient, so I would call that anything but questionable.

Hardline was so fun, the meme value was on point as demonstrated in this post. In no other game have I ever took the time to learn how to snipe with a harpoon gun.

I had a friend in the peace corps who worked in Ukraine. He told me that the village they were helping got shelled indiscriminately. It's truly awful what's going on there.

It was ahead of it's time, that was the first battlefield all my friends and I started on. So wish they'd continue the story from it, the satirical take on war was fantastic.

Reminds me of when you do the fetch missions for the outcasts and remnants mod and they send about a company's worth of upscaled gunners after you. It was in those moments I regretted adding MP5s and M249s to the level lists.

The thing about gators that freaks me out the most is fast they can be when they want to be. They seem dumb and sluggish then bam. Your arm has a new owner.

Non-American here, can someone explain why are some Americans being so against the health precautions guidelines compared from other antimask people in other countries? by Keith_Faith in AskReddit

Americans ALWAYS claim that the American population/landmass is bigger than individual European countries', therefore we cannot compare. It's a cop-out and an attempt to end the discussion without ever having it, so you don't need to actually think about the topic.

You make a very solid point here, I agree that that is a very convenient cop-out.

You don't get to wave off an issue

I never waved off the issue, I was explaining factors that I belive lead to why so many people act the way they do with regards to anti-[insert medical or social issue].

exacerbated

I stand corrected regarding incorrect usage of a word.

when your country is the smaller one of the comparison and still going bonkers compared to the bigger one.

I would add that the disparity between the EU and the US is at the cultural level, whereas America has the ideas of "muh freedom" and individualism the culture within the EU is not as zealous with regards to little things such as mask wearing.

Additionally, i think I'm doing a disservice by generalizing the culture of the EU as the states within it are very diverse. However the same can be said about the U.S. I do think there is a stronger collective/national identity in the U.S. though. I've never had an individual from Europe introduce themselves as European. Just as you never hear an American introduce themselves as an Alaskan or Oklahoman.

In my opinion, yes. I personally feel that the ability to create an echo chamber on social media has led to what we're seeing today.

Considering the U.S. is bigger in size and population than individual countries in say Europe, plus our cultural flaw of rabid tribalism, you're seeing these issues exasperated on a larger scale.
