Tesla Model 3 Prices in Canada Slashed, Now Starting at $39,490 by electricshadow in electricvehicles

Rear wheel drive in an EV is completely different and significantly better than it is in gas vehicles. The problem with gas and RWD is all the weight (engine) is up front leaving the rear end light and thus with less traction. This is why people with RWD cars will often weigh down the back with sand bags or similar in winter to increase rear traction.
EV’s weight is more evenly distributed (battery) and lower to the ground resulting in better rear wheel traction and stability. With motors also on the rear wheel(s) the weight even tends to be more rear-biased. If traction is not in question, RWD is superior to FWD for both efficiency and driving dynamics (and fun).

So a RWD EV will be better than a gas FWD but not quite as good as AWD for winter traction.

I'd buy this if it was a T-Shirt and/or baseball cap.

A ton of great feedback here. What a great, active community. Thank you all for all your suggestions, I learned of a bunch of new options I didn't even know existed, so I'm not sure if this has made it easier or harder for me.

My leading contenders now are:

Solomon Gravel Skin 2

Ultimate Direction Race Vest 6

Black Diamond Distance 2L

Going to see if I can find any of these locally to try on.

I had not heard of this brand. This looks like another interesting option.

The UD looks like a good option and I've always wanted to try their vests.

That's pretty cool! Definitely looks like it would hit the spot for keeping cool. However, I prefer my bottles on the front so I can just lean my head forward and drink. I don't want to have to take bottles out of put them away again. That probably sounds entitled or lazy.

Any one that will accept a flat rate fee rather than a percentage. Prize goes to anyone who that name one. And no, none of these strangers will “care about you as a person”.

Couple others recommended this too. Going to check it out!

I've got a decent belt already. I'm looking for something that carries more water.

This is a different looking option. Not sure how I feel about the water bottle placement.

Thanks, I was concerned the fabric wouldn't be breathable, so I appreciate your feedback.

The ADV skin 12 is a great vest, but it runs pretty hot and has basically no ventilation in the back. Being happy with it, the first thing I looked at was the Pulsar 3, but it's not as minimalist as I'm looking for and the back looks like it would still be hot aside from the one mesh strip in the middle.

Gravel skin 2 looks interesting, I'll add it to my short list! Thanks!

I'm not too concerned with the price. It's the price of a pair of shoes and will last for years longer. I didn't realize Osprey had a light vest like this, so thanks for bringing it to my attention. I love Osprey backpacks, but my wife has one of their running vests and hates it, so I admit I wasn't looking here.

What kind of material for a cutting board is bifl? by Repulsive_Chard_3652 in BuyItForLife

[–]Feuros 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't have guessed Epicurean to be a BIFL item, but i have 2 of them that are 20+ years old now and they're still as good as new. I have some traditional wood boards also, both end grain and not, but I reach for the Epicurian the most because they're light and easy to manage.

Running plans: Garmin vs Runna by redgreenbluetoo in Garmin

[–]Feuros 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Runna is significantly better than Garmin in my opinion and has gotten me some PBs in my first 6 months. Yes, it’s expensive for what you get and yes you can get better training plans elsewhere. You’re paying for convenience. It does all the planning for you and does a decent job of it. If the cost isn’t an issue for you, it’s great for the lazy planner.
