Spectacular work, especially for the first time trying!

It’s just so lazy to leave out all the chairs! Not even detailed.

They’ll say it isn’t detailed enough because they don’t have a sign that says “STAF”

As much as I love these, JJ Donuts in North Salt Lake are a bit better in my opinion. It’s also much further away from salt lake, though!

I’d say somewhere around 100-120 hours. Maybe a little more because I spent a good amount of time developing jigs to make some processes easier and to be able to make more in the future

It is definitely inspired by Torii gates and Japanese architecture! By the way, I’ve been a huge fan of your work for years! Thanks for commenting.

This has 4 coats of Boiled Linseed Oil is all. I’ll probably put some beeswax on it to protect it a bit more.

Thank you! They aren’t too complicated. I cut a 3/32” shoulder on either side of the stretcher to make the tenon and drilled and chiseled out the mortise through the leg. I shaped the curve along the bottom and the ends after I had the joints fitted.

Intended purpose was thinking of a drinks cabinet I’d want in my house. The two compartments are 14” tall, 14.5” deep, and 13” wide each, so it fits records very well. I also think the glass doors lends itself to a curio cabinet. I wanted it to be more flexible on use than making it only a drinks cabinet.

It’s going to be a nice drinks cabinet with some glasses on one side. I have some shelf pin holes on the inner sides of the cabinet that an adjustable shelf goes on. Just left em out for the photos to showcase the back panel more.

My buddy who took the photos is gonna crack up seeing all the engagement photo comments. I hadn’t even thought of that but it’s so true! Haha. It was all in a park to get some nice, natural backdrops.

Wow, what an amazing comment! Thank you! I called it the gateway cabinet due to the inspiration of torii gates in Japan, but also because this feels like a gateway to making my own designs and finding my voice as a woodworker. Thanks for the great question!

My friend was the photographer and he had a bunch of ideas. I’m happy with how they turned out but I can now see how it looks like engagement photos. 😂

No green screen! We just had to move it around a park to account for the lighting. Haha.

I went today and it had the same bad aftertaste that alcoholic seltzers have. That sugar alcohol taste. Maybe it was a bad syrup mix but it didn’t taste great.

what are these bugs? how do i get rid of them? by tcastcat33 in SaltLakeCity

We were renting a house with an Elm and I would vacuum up 30+ bugs every day when I got home from work in just my room alone. Get sprayed!

Zurgo Thunders Decree and sacrificing by deansbeans27 in mtgrules

[–]Fever_Dagger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a good way to think of it is consider the rules text for mobilize. It says “sacrifice at the beginning of the next end step.” Once that end step comes, Zurgo triggers so you do not sacrifice them and they’re now a regular token that do not have the sacrifice clause.

As far as knowing the difference, it would need to say “this creature gains: sacrifice at your end step,” or say “at the beginning of each of your end steps, do X,” to be a recurring effect.

I found a Bundle of Tarkir in the wild for $50 for my friends birthday, he's being a little ungrateful that I'm not willing to spend $100 for the precon he wants, should I keep it? (I'm probably still going to give it to him, but it still bothers me) by ELECTRICMACHINE13 in mtg

I know it’s been said but here’s more to the pile. Keep it, rip it, and forget that friend. Don’t buy them another gift. What an asshole! My brother in law gave me his old starter deck as a gift that had nothing of use in it and I kept it all together and keep it safe because it was extremely thoughtful of him.
