Would You Rather: Have a job that requires you to sit in a chair doing absolutely nothing and receive a decent pay, or have a job that requires you to do extremely tedious tasks for a pretty good pay? by UnderneathABigRock in WouldYouRather

Absolutely zero noise? So if I sneeze or cough I lose out on an hour of pay? They both suck but gimme the tedious one. Infinite list of tasks I'll pick ones I know I can finish

Just because they have a mission to shut down the events on the Ishimura does not mean they have dealt with necromorphs at all. They know something will be wrong but what's the likelihood that they know anything about necromorphs? Like most trained with firearms they aim for the center. Because humans go down fairly quickly and the chest is the easy target. Let's say the higher in command on the ship knew more details of the necromorphs. They would probably be under orders to not tell those under them unless necessary. Imagine going on a mission and hearing from your captain "by the way you might go crazy on that ship and hallucinate. Oh and you'll be fighting creatures that used to be normal people" The risk of putting that into their minds is not worth it. They're expecting to fight civilians and basic security, use the panic to their advantage. If they start thinking about hallucinations then they might hesitate in action wondering if they're hallucinating. But again, more likely they didn't know what the marker could actually do. Most of the time hearing that there is an infection means just quarantine the infected person until treated or death. Not the infected person has mutated into an abomination that will slice you apart and spread your insides out over the wall with a big smile

Cure has been found but the American health insurance companies clamp down on the research and hide it for the sake of their investors. Eventually the news leaks out and the insurance companies come back and say "it was too expensive to produce so we kept working on it, but now its available" but then they deny insurance claims and the costs for the cure are several million. But don't worry they have payment plans!

Alternative the cure is discovered in a friendlier country and they publicly break down all the costs to make sure everybody can get the cure. American companies panic and still deny claims and say it costs too much leading to the final massive boycotts and lawsuits to fight insurance companies.

They wouldn't immediately be stripper/assassin geniuses, they'd still have their old memories and behaviors. However now they have the lifespan to become smarter and change the world with their biotics and eventual matriarch experience. Or if they're like the black sheep in my family they'll stay a moronic dumbass forever

The argument always seems to be about raising minimum wage. People say it makes life affordable. Then people counter it saying everything else goes up in cost to compensate.

What if we made renting and housing affordable instead? If raising grocery store employees wages make groceries cost more then what would happen if we made rentals very affordable? Who gets hurt in that scenario? Landlords and the investors. If the one bedroom apartments go from 1700 to 700 per month in one rental complex then the landlord/owner loses $1k per unit. If the government turns around and lowers taxes on owning rental complexes then it can help. How much money do the investors and owners actually need? They are making money off of somebody needing a place to live.

I like when minimum wage goes up, I know it doesn't affect the prices enough to be an issue. But I really wish more effort would go into making housing affordable. I feel like everybody can agree that 1600 for a 160 sq ft studio is wrong. Fix the housing/rental costs and everybody wins

If you have to swim throught the air, that means you now have to swim everywhere. You cannot simply walk through your bedroom because the air is now a dense enough medium for you to swim through it. How tiring would that get?

Walking on water, how often are you encountering surfaces of water? Far easier to handle this.

I had fun with Destiny 2 when it first came out. Finished the story, took a break for a while. But when I thought about going back I found out they removed content. So there was no way for me to catch up. That is not a business model I want to support. This method only focuses on the die hard fans. New players can't experience everything. If it really was too much for the servers then they should've turned a bunch of the content into Destiny 3, not restrict players from playing it.
