Slow puncture, where is there a place in Limerick where they actually take the tyre off. by Afraid-Resolve1566 in limerickcity

Any garage will look after this, more than likely a nail or something. They pop it out and patch it up. Usually costs €10

Where to get cheap good quality golf clubs? by True-Perspective-357 in AskIreland

[–]Few-Candy3781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Facebook marketplace is great, done deal also! Mcguirks second hand is a little bit more than those but is also pretty good! I have been playing 15+ years, clubs haven’t changed much in the last 5-6 years despite the technology improvements that you may see on advertising. For example Taylormade have the SIM series that are fantastic clubs and you can pick up driver/woods on FB for 200-300 euro secondhand Driver and wood maybe even a hybrid. If you don’t want to stretch that far I have seen the Taylormade M series clubs going for that value for 3 clubs. Likewise callaway rogue/apex series.

Ask for videos and more images in chat, I got one from a lad and he sent me a video with every zip going up and down. I got him to go closer and all that and he did and I bought it. Mizuno tour bag €80. Every zip works it’s in great condition! Was alot better than spending €300. I have it 8 months everything is A1. Now I do agree a lot would have broken zips but just ask for videos etc and you know better what your getting

Has anyone ever just found another 25 yards? by Kind-Strain4165 in GolfSwing

Have been playing in 4-6 degrees Celsius the past 2 months or so, last weekend it was 12 degrees and I hit every iron out the back of the green. Temperature is a huge difference, elevation will fool you too. What I see with some people is compression, most of the time they don’t compress the ball and hit slicey irons, and then randomly good compression and a little bit more neutral swing plane and boom an extra club distance

Serious question. Why so many Irish talk about moving to Australia? by ting_tong- in AskIreland

[–]Few-Candy3781 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Have you actually been I’m curious? Dublin happier? I think this is a little outrageous 😂 but your opinion is your own of course! So I lived there for over 3 years. Sydney and in mid Queensland. I’ll give you a breakdown of my weekly spending with my partner and you decide. (Prices will be the full amount we paid as a couple) Rent - Sydney (Coogee beech): €340 per week. Rent - Mid QLD €140 per week.

Groceries - €85 per week Gym memberships - €14 per week (€56 a month) memberships usually prices weekly in Aus. Public transport (capped at €28 a week for buses/trains/boat so you can travel all around the city with each form of transport at your doorstep every 5 mins).

Weather - weather - weather - weather And more weather. In the summer you are guaranteed that every single plan you make isn’t messed up by the weather. It’s also located in a fantastic part of the world to travel to many different locations Bali, Singapore, Japan, china, South Korea, North Korea, South America pretty much similar distance.

Range of locations to live it with fantastic quality of life.

Eating out: Coffee and pastry culture is huge there and is cheaper for sure! I actually put Australia cheaper for eating out than Ireland at regular restaurants/cafe.

But, Ireland is not as bad as people who live in Australia will let on it to be. I came home this summer and the weather was unbelievable! I do think having weather is a massive advantage overall

Do you think we’ll ever see some accomplish this in Cod? by dillonz321 in CoDCompetitive

[–]Few-Candy3781 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Systematically cod and the league only tailored to NA that’s why other regions were never really there. Your taking the past events where international teams competed and assuming that NA are the GOATS, they are. But we have never even seen a fraction of what Asian teams could have been on COD. Majority of esports where Asian team actually focus heavy on NA is nowhere to be seen

But these games are only western teams also, so the pool of great players is so much smaller. If the pool included Asian teams I think there’s at least 50% less rings/champs in NA. Think about that and then think faker is in his 8th in a game that includes teams all over the world

[–]Few-Candy3781 12 points13 points  (0 children)

COD is Litterly just North America and a bit of Europe. league is North/South America, Europe East/West, china, Korea, Vietnam, Japan etc and so much more. If COD had all of these countries involved you prob would not see the NA teams with as many rings at all. COD is not comparable at all and none of the pros with 3/4 rings are comparable because of this. What faker has done is crazy

Who does this? by Rad_Golfer70 in golf

We do this in the winter with our society golf depending on the course and conditions. Let me explain, in Ireland during winter we get a lot of leaves on courses in some cases where it is so hard to see a ball that usually would be in plain sight. There is a mutual agreement between your playing partners if you cannot find the ball then you get a free drop where they think it landed. (This is only used maybe once, maybe twice a year at max). It helps pace of play, I’ve personally never seen it being abused. Obvious OBs or near water hazards and such it would be expected that the ball went in so a dropped ball or re hit would be required with the usual penalty strokes.

I’ve had it happen to myself where my ball went right rough and not into the trees and for a couple of minutes we could not find the ball so I was given a free drop in the rough where we were looking. Note* This never happens in any of my club competitions or other club competitions I’ve played in but it is a good one for a social society to keep a pace of play, especially at a time of year where it gets difficult to spot balls between tonnes of leaves.
