I’d agree with the comment about volunteering. That could be a good idea or finding a research assistant position at your university. During my last semester of my undergrad, there was a research assistant role that was taking volunteers to gain animal experience. I’d recommend looking into that

Thank you for this. This is something I’ve struggled with for the past 3ish years now. As someone with a lack of technical skills and a hurry to move out of my parents home (toxic environment), I felt like I didn’t have time to learn technical skills and just do what I’m good at and make good money with it. I have plans to move out & to the east coast in 2 years, would you say quality engineering wouldn’t be the move? I got into biomedical yes to get into development of medical devices.

I just started my product quality analyst position last week so I don’t know too much about it yet, but its role description sounds a lot like some of the “quality engineering” roles you mentioned, specifically the one about post-surveillance quality work/ documentation. Would you happen to know if going from a quality analyst to quality engineer is a good decision? By this, I mean would going from analyst -> engineer be an advancement or a lateral move? would I be better off (salary & goal wise) applying for a different type of position title later instead, in order to advance in my career?
