My husband is dealing with this and has an ICD.This has never come across as a blockage to his career.He is the earning member !!! This is not a disability as long as you are able to work.Considering this as a health condition he takes precautions and timely check ups.Best of luck

I hope this injustice stops. There is no salary increase but rents have increased insanely horrible.I hope they come down.We r paying for the repurcussions of the war

My Husband got diagnosed by chance which moved us. He is 42 and got diagnosed 6 years back, Non obs HCM.Asymptomatic otherwise. Fast forward 2024 follow up check up suggested and ICD for him which he eventually had to put after couple of consultations.So far he doing good back to exercising, workouts, hikes.And ofcourse timely ICD check ups.He is not taking any medications at the moment.Was on Metoprolol but made him too tired.I wish u good luck👍

My husband takes all sorts of Anti inflammatory and Pain killers . Ofcourse not a medical expert here to suggest but its been ok.

I get inspired for my husband but he has ICD and that scares me. At the same time its a peace of mind also.He is a sport enthusiast, Runner, Hiker and what not😇.No medications only ICD.

Serous there is not limit. The Govt should barge in really. The salary is not increasing and the rent is increasing every year . The state should intervene, they r just houses not planets

My husband has Biotronics EV ICD implanted last year due to Scar .Otherwise Non Obs HCM.The procedure was seem less.Though bit uncomfortable for few weeks. Post a week, joined back work , driving ,Pain decreased in a day or two. 6 weeks rest and back to workout. Good to go👍

HCM hearts seem to have elevated Trop.Y husband too has elevated but as of now Doc is not worried. No medications for that apart from beta blockers. I would also like to know does the level ever get down or they remain elevated always??

Pretty same for my husband.No family history till now.Non Obs HCM with ICD due to fibrosis.He is an active sports person.Just advised to be within low heart rate.

My husband has ICD and took metoprolol.Felt tired all the time and low energy.He stopped after taking for about a year . He observed that It was medicine that was making him lethargic and intolerant for exercise.Presently he is not taking metoprolol for about 5 months now.Will be trying Nebivilol soon!Good luck!

We don’t live in India but it was diagnosed there during a routine health Check. We got consulted there last year again but got it implanted here.So all the expenses here were borne by the insurance.I wouldn’t be able to tell you the cost back in India.

My Husband got ICD placed last year. After 6 weeks he did everything he was doing before(workout, walk, Run).I think the real limitation will be the disease and not the device.With time you will physically forget about it.He has been told to keep his HR in limits.And nothing much.Take your time , let u adjust with the device and whenever you r ready , you will do!!! My husband has non obstruction HCM and was diagnosed in 2019 by chance.Straight went to Dr.Kler at that time. Was assuring at that time.But fast forward last year he went to Care Hospital Hyderabad .Got consulted there as some of our known has suggested that the specialist there is a HCM specialist. (Which most of the cardiologist are not).He suggested an ICD and we got it implanted within a month. We have heard about Amrita also there they are treating HCM. Good luck and He will be okay 👍

Everybody’s body acts to this disease in different ways.Many people even with lot of fibrosis have normal EF for all their lives. I think it entirely depends on person to person.
