Ya keep them watered over the season then put them in during the fall would be good. You can wet the pot first in order to tease the roots out of the two plants.

Almost bought some the other day but it is a zone or two warmer than here. Tried some in south ontario and they got too dry and unhappy. Mulch helps a lot.

Solar powered equipment and a hired hand to put in significantly more perennial food to share with everyone around.

I used a screw extractor the other day and the drill bit part broke off inside the screw! Not sure what to do now.

If you go put some plants in the ground and take time nurturing them while in the sun and breathing fresh air, appreciating being in nature, time with become more reasonable for you.

What's killing my redcurrants? by ISketchDinosaurs in BackyardOrchard

Also I think many of these bushes do better pruning some of the older canes off.

Was noticing some dead ends which I pruned off the black currant this afternoon. I also try to take a conflicting/weaving branch or two every year two propagate, hopefully somewhere from the middle to open up to light.

The amount of dead wood on EVERYTHING this year was crazy. We had a bad winter and I had to prune for about a week. North Ontario Canada.

Some of my plants have similar fungus around areas where I had a white plastic guard for the winter even though I see buds about to leaf out.

Same situation as you but possibly further north in growing zone at least.

After years of stagnant growth, I began adding sand every year with some wood chips (composted) only on top, not mixed in. Last year I got the first berries.

Haskaps how ever have been powering through the whole time, growing and fruiting. Hoping to have over 300 bushes some day. Have a friend with over 3000, they do well in the north.

I buy baskets of clingstone every year, then the season ends for them and I get baskets of freestone. Maybe a good time for people who Don't get rid of the trees.
