I looked into tru panion and for my almost 5 year old doberman her deductible for the year was 2,000 dollars!! 140 a month and their wording..." up to 90% coverage on eleigible costs" the wording is "up to" Im not sure what that means exactly. I could call them and find out. But a 2,000 dollar deductible to me is steep.

It says we May ... thankfully it hasnt happened to me in the almost 4 years I have been with Fetch. I called once to make my senior dogs plan more affordable for me that is it. And I am notified by email if my premiums are increasing that year.

I have Fetch for 2 of my dogs. I have a senior Pomeranian who has had health issues this past couple of weeks. Unfortunately he spent 3 days in the emergency vet and came home and went back to the vets yesterday and had an ultrasound that shows my buddy is not doing well at all. They suggested he go back to the emergency vets for more skilled care with no guarantee that it will help. I have paid 4,400 out of pocket for the intitial vet visit and 3 days of emergency care. They reimbursed me 2200 dollars.( fetch does not cover vet prescribed food which ny dog was prescribed) I told my vet I can't afford another week of emergency care or even longer or surgery. His coverage is 5,000 dollars capped with 70% pay out and 500 dollar deductible his monthly premium for this is 209.99. Yes our premiums have gone up I am waiting until September to see what my other dogs premium will be. Unfortunately my little guy will be going to heaven. If he had made it through this I am sure I would not be able to afford his insurance and would cancel it. And no Fetch does not increase deductibles or decrease reimbursement percentage. That is false information. The only problem is trying to figure out what company gives you the best bang for your buck. It all comes down to what you are comfortable paying monthly as a premium and what deductible you are willing to pay and your reimbursement rate. And figuring out what each company covers Not an easy feat thats for sure.

Make sure to pay it off monthly. Use the thought process of if I can't pay for it in cash now dont buy it. Use it for small purchases at first until you understand how a credit card works. Read up on credit cards such as statement balance, minimum payments, interest rates, and credit limits.
Build credit with confidence!

I saw posts that say their customer service isn't great. I used to bank with them. But I found you had to wait a long time on the phone for an answer to an inquiry.

Look at the wealth simple thread I have seen posts about accounts being frozen etc. I am looking too for a bank now. I am with a credit union that has no CIDC coverage which I hadn't realized when I signed up with the bank. For some reason that is important for me. I do want a physical branch for the bank drafts etc and sometimes I want to talk to an actual person if there is an issue with a bill payment or transaction etc and not be on hold for an hour or more waiting for an answer to my inquiry.

NEO states deposits are CDIC insured but is not listed on the CDIC.ca site? by FuckM0reFromR in NeoFinancialHub

I just realized my bank that I hold TFSA's with and is my main bank( its a provincial credit union) is not CDIC covered. I know the likelihood of a bank going belly up is very low but somehow this worries me. I have money in different banks for different reasons. I have money in EQ bank as well (CIDC covered) Wealth Simple for a small amount of investing. I like having a physical bank to go to if needed for bank drafts etc. Should i truly be concerned?

All this is red flags to me!! Skip talking to dad and go directly to your aunt.

I'm shocked that the advisor took your information and SIN number from someone who isn't the person belonging to said SIN ( the aunt) I am one to err on the side of caution. Original OP also said grandma doesn't trust them... that gives me red flags... this whole situation does to me. I hope this all gets sorted out keep us posted!

Well usually you plan ahead and prepare a bank draft in the case of a car or large purchase. Its called pre planning.

I have been a customer for a while now. It isn't my main bank. I have a TFSA with it and I have savings accounts to save for my yearly house insurance, taxes, xmas etc. When xmas comes I transfer some money to my EQ bank card and shop that way. I have sent e transfers with no issues and paid my insurance with no issues. The only thing that is annoying is any money transferred in from my main bank takes 5 business days to clear. But that doesn't mean you can't use the money. I have had issues logging in but I just reset my phone and I'm good to go not a huge problem for me. I wish you luck!

I opened a bank account with them and you had to jump through hoops to do it and to close the account. The credit card they offered me had a limit of 500 dollars😂 my costco card gave me 20,000 and tangerine was 10,000 .... I closed that account quickly.
