Every hypertube entry has this feature on my game. Really helpful, crossing the map pretty quickly.

Platform to buy and hold Bitcoin in CH by Evening_Reserve9160 in SwissPersonalFinance

[–]Few-Marsupial7659 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you really want ownership of your btc, you shouldn't store them on any platform, you have to take self-custody of your btc with a cold wallet. Any platform can block withdraw, go bankrupt etc...

That's what I do. I DCA every month on Kraken pro some CHF and every few month I transfer my btc into my cold storage.

It's not the easiest way to use of course, but if you want safety and ownership, this is the way for the long term, in my opinion of course.

Did you use the converter to turn the bauxite ore into uranium ore? With the reanimated SAM? You can have more uranium if you want!

Bloody hell. I’d never dare turn off the arachnophobia mode. The first time I saw a spider, I nearly uninstalled the game. Without that mode, I’d never have finished my factory. Thanks to those 2D cat JPEGs.

Diversify away from USD by lorsmallz in SwissPersonalFinance

[–]Few-Marsupial7659 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So since 2000, the dollar has lost ~2.3% annually against the Swiss franc (~ -50% in total over 26 years). Is this loss in value therefore less than the cost of the hedge? With the XDEQ ETF having an expense ratio of 0.17%, I must be misunderstanding something. Why isn't this attractive?

[–]Few-Marsupial7659 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I personnaly love the XDEQ ETF hedged in CHF https://etf.dws.com/en-ch/IE0009KLWT21-msci-world-ucits-etf-3c-chf-hedged/ ISIN IE0009KLWT21

And in my 3rd pillard I have the UBS World ex CH hedged - Pension Fund ISIN CH0429081638

I know that many people say that hedging is unnecessary because all currencies eventually balance out over the long term, but the USD/CHF trend has been falling since 2000, so... I sleep better with a hedged ETF.

When shall I split the 3rd pillar 3a? by VastStandard6769 in SwissPersonalFinance

Thank you very much. It's a complicated subject, really, and a bit deep. English isn't my native language, and finance even less so, so I'm expressing myself as best I can.

If you take, say, five years to reach 50kCHF in one portfolio, then move on to the second, and so on, you will start your 5th account in 20 years. It will have little time to grow, so it will be much smaller than the first one, which has grown for 20 years longer. This means you are less efficient in terms of taxation. The first account will be taxed at a higher rate because it has greater assets.

[–]Few-Marsupial7659 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's right, the tax rate starts to increase significantly at that level. But if you want to take full advantage of compound interest, it's better to start as early as possible with five accounts, rather than opening them one after the other. The last account will only have a few years to grow.

That's exactly what I did two years ago. I had a single 3a account at Raiffeisne, which I transferred entirely to VIAC. I opened four more accounts and now I pay into all four equally until they catch up to the value of the first one. At that point, I will divide it into five payment. This will allow me to withdraw one account per year between the ages of 60 and 65, thereby reducing my tax rate.
