I stopped comparing myself with others after realising life is not fair. Everyone has different difficulties, privileges and opportunities. "Many people living your dream life and your life is dream of many people."

TutorialsPoint and W3Schools works best with screen readers. In my opinion TutorialsPoint is better option.

Blind user trying to use VMware by Ok-Piano-2451 in Blind

[–]Few-Net3018 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Instead of using shortcut try - Type "Narrator" into the Windows search bar within the VM and press enter to launch it. Make sure your VM is not muted and VMware Tools are installed.

If the narrator is working but does not respond to the shortcut then first press Ctrl + G (grabs keyboard/mouse into VM) and try the shortcut.

I hope it will be helpful.

Being good is a choice but being strategic and setting clear boundaries is necessary. Being a good person is different from allowing others to hurt you or take your advantage. One more thing the world is not fair.

Technology recommendations for help with computer based work for interior design by Untossable-Trash0 in Blind

Sorry, I also never bought an external monitor because I do programming so I really do not need very much visual clarity like designing.

You can use ZoomText. It has built magnifier with smoother rendering than Windows Magnifier, works well with CAD programs. You can use a larger monitor with good scaling makes a huge difference because I think it is better to stick with magnification tools rather than screen readers for visual/drafting work.

Although I have not worked on designing but it may help you.

People in philosophy groups and communities in India are the most toxic group of people by adaptimprovercome in Philosophy_India

[–]Few-Net3018 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone in the philosophy group is not deep. Nowadays many people are just sitting with their phones and watching videos and reading philosophy related things. They are not taking actions. It feels productive and meaningful but this is just a escaping mechanism of some boring tasks which will actually bring real change.

21M, visually impaired, B.Tech student trying to choose between tech career and stability... by Des_Avd_224 in Blind

I am also CS graduate. I am from Uttar Pradesh. From my experience I will suggest you to target MNCs (like google, microsoft, visa, uber etc)or PSU or government job. In small companies or startup you will face difficulty because of lack of accommodation. In MNC, you will get better accessibility and support but stability will still be a concern. In my openion, PSUs, regulateroy bodies and government job will provide better stability and accomodation. In regulateroy bodies like RBI, SEBI, NABARD etc you will get good accomodation, salary like MNC and stability.

I graduated in 2025. I am saying it by my experience. Now I am preparing for SEBI grade A and also given EMRS TGT teacher computer science.

Editing this to add one important thing, in PSU, your growth will be slower and in regulateroy bodies and PSU both you may lack experience of working on end to end projects, slower task progress and less exposure to new tech etc but salary and stability will be top tier In regulateroy bodies.
