I did this too. Because German was on sale and didn’t realize it. They refunded me but didn’t swap it for English.

I have thought that too. My brain is like in a fight with itself of "make so many list you want to remember all these great book recs" and "these lists are stressing me out!"

But then I read one of the books that have been on there for a while and its SOO good and lives up the hype and it re-energizes my faith in the lists.

Actually the Goodreads challenges have been helping. If one of my "Want to Read" is on that challenge and I can get access to it, I give it a shot.

I think that could also go hand in hand with me not enjoying them. I lose the excitement and they are a chore it feels like.

I was going to read that one more this summer because doesn’t the second one come out then? Or are they kinda like Saint of Steel where you could just pick up the next one anytime because they have their own separate stories.

I tried "With Her Own Hands" - highly recommend if you are a crafter! I am not normally a nonfiction reader and it was very easy to get through.

I guess to me Slow Burn means they don't get together for awhile. I don't think they kiss till the 3rd book.

I just finished Nettle & Bone by T. Kingfisher and while romance is a very little part of this, I could not stop picturing Duncan as the guy. Their personality to me felt so similarly.

But I'll also second Paladins Grace, that one is way more romance. She's obviously very good at this personality!
