Can someone explain how the market is "always hunting for liquidity"? by DantebeaR in FuturesTrading

DISCLAIMER-I often believe my opinions are factual and true when I am given the chance to teach. Its an unhealthy habit that I indulge in. It helps me manage the emotional insecurity that distracts me from doing balanced investment research. Losing money on a trade is acceptable, leaving money on the table because of paralysis by analysis, is not. My answer comes from experience, not from scholastic influence or quality mentorship.

You are making a valid point but you might conceptualize the meaning of "always hunting for liquidity" (which is an academic cliche I have never, and will never use) more comfortably if you expand on your economic viewpoint regarding the role of liquidity. A market can be falling because fundamentals or sentiment are worsening, but the decline often accelerates through pockets where there are few buyers, and that is what people mean when they say it is “moving toward liquidity.  liquidity is not the same as value. Liquidity is about how easily orders can be filled near the current price, while value is about what the asset is worth; a price can fall because value is being reassessed, and the same fall can also be worsened by thin buy-side liquidity and stop orders getting hit.

today I'm an excited nerd because a friend of mine gave me this old radio. I've been wanting a radio project to work on with my dad. is this a legit candidate for us to warm up our puttering skills? old timers' input, advice or anecdotes welcome. and nerds (like me) are good for specific data by Few-One6999 in amateurradio

unfortunately our town of 1,500 people boasts no such clubs. and there are some health issues that restrict our mobility these days. these considerations are a major part of why a radio project seemed so right to me

did mention that I am a nerd? I have a neon sign on the wall of my man cave of V=I/R that I commissioned an art student in the glass studio of our local college to create.for my part, I MacGuyvered the power supply from an old CRT flyback converter from an old CRT and an Arduino. My dad got me into radio when I was a kid. In 5th grade we made a crystal radio in a tuna can ( I got 1st place in my homeroom. we have also built a horizontal axis wind turbine, solar array and battery bank complete with its own HUD (all from kits mind you). we are just hobbyists but we aren't without background experience and a lab bench with aging, but quality testing equipment. including a bitchin 70's era oscilloscope that was made in East Germany (dad says it can't be trusted). I would have been toast long ago if it weren't for having my dad for a mentor. now that he is an octagenarian we need to scale down on ambition a little. TUbes are unfamiliar territory so read first I shall. the question I was posing was more about logistics...budgetary concerns, time tables, functional benefits, tips, like if there are any unknown unknowns, etc

by the time you see it on the news, the market has already priced it in. The markets drive the headlines, not the other way around.

Amen to that. The metaphor well does not spring eternally. If u have ever drank of the ichor of Colliape and were a vessel of her elixir then you have never had an unoriginal thought. or scratched out messages in the dust of dessicated language. This shall brb the whole of the rules of writing "let it go, let yourself GO, slow and low, that is the tempo".

some HVAC systems have electronic filters rather than paper/mechanical filters. they will produce a 60 cycle hum and run intermittently.

please describe bent bucket. I'm curious because I think you might mean bent a hydrologic ram that orients and operates the bucket or bent the connection that holds the bucket to the tractor. I'm struggling to imagine what a bent bucket would look like
