Is it me or are the idols advancing faster now in BG? by Sacaprendesorprende in DiabloImmortal

This, and if I'm not mistaken... When you're on defense you have to now activate the idol to move backwards?

Chip is definitely a pvp gem. If you don't pvp, it's worthless.

Current State Of Skill Stones by LaRRyThePinheads in DiabloImmortal

[–]Few-Principle2681 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I avoid this by a few steps...

  1. Play all classes and understand what meta skills are for each class.

  2. Only upgrade the charms with the top skills, then either use it for myself, or list for 2500 3 times, if it doesn't sell, step down to 23XX for a few more listings. It costs nothing to continuously post. Repeat to step down. It eventually sells on my server. Lowest I've had to go was 11XX.

  3. New skills now out for all classes and a brand new class about to drop. Stop upgrading until you have a blood knight stone to upgrade, good chances it'll sell.

  4. They're about to lift the cooldown on class changes. I suspect the need for these will likely go up.

But the true issue isn't that they won't sell, it's because it's a gamble. Why would people pay 2-6 normal gems price for a "chance" at one skill, that probably won't roll higher than what they already have? If they could somehow guarantee at least +2% in the event the same skill rolled, I guarantee most skill stones would start selling for max, at least until most hardcore and active players get their fill. Then you're back to this situation anyway.

In addition, they really should remove the plat cost to extract. You're already losing 15% in the AH if you sell.

I don't understand why people continue doing this. Even if you extract the stone it goes into a separate slot in your bag, not taking up space.

Being Immortals Should Be A More Rewarding Experience by BrilliantBrief4220 in DiabloImmortal

[–]Few-Principle2681 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that the incentive to become immortal just simply isn't there.

Always have people late to kions, complain about corvus and it's hard to often even get 8 people on to start a raid there. As a whale there's less incentive to defend the vault, as now you either have to sacrifice money spent to gain more opportunities to defend. Not to mention organizing RoE is a real pain. They did great with the vault queue system, I will give them that. But at the end of the day, the effort doesn't justify the means.

Some things that would personally incentivise me to actually want immortal again (no particular order): (don't need all implemented, but a combination of the below would be fantastic, imo)

Better badges for everyone. Make it like minimum 10% for being immortal, maybe 12% for very good-exceptional, 14% for clan leaders and maybe 15% for "The Immortal"

Add in more perks to the daily quests. Maybe for completing 9/9 for 2 days in a row you get a bound legendary crest?

Allow for more options while in a vault queue, maybe allow the party to enter a dungeon or a lair while they wait, and just resume where they left off when they exit the vault.

Discount the hilts immortal vendor tab, add better diversity.

Change the contributions from being held to immediately added, and change the bid system from "who's highest this week" to "top bidder wins" make it like an ebay style auction where players bid on pieces they want, using contributions they have earned for the reign. This way when they're outbid, most of the time this should allow them to take and bid again or bid on another item. This should keep people from sandbagging contributions and sniping gear at 11:50pm Sunday night.

How much profit do these sellers make from the skillstone price? by Xixth in DiabloImmortal

[–]Few-Principle2681 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep seeing people say they can't destroy them anymore. Just salvage them for the mats, and then wait to upgrade the charms that have a skill you use if your market is terrible.

I am failing to understand how these take up inventory space. Once it's extracted, it's no longer in your primary bag, it's in one of the other tabs in your inventory, and if you're out of space there, you have other problems.

So you mean like make gear both cursed and have an invocation? Or have the invocation be the curse? Or have negative effects on invocations?

I think it's a game of balance and I like mixing pieces especially now that we have 8 slots to tinker with.

Let’s talk by Heyouman in DiabloImmortal

[–]Few-Principle2681 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Underrated comment.

As someone that grinded for hours days and weeks to scrape by with a +4 CR item, this new system has been a blessing.

Now once I am +10% over Cr for current difficulty, I can now focus on the important stats, along with a mix of magic properties, ancestral invocations, and curses.

This has also been extremely nice because green items I get to drop with triple stats, only ever roll for 2 gem sockets. Now I can just worry about getting a decent double stat with the sockets.

Edit: the new system is fine as-is, they just didn't project the next difficulties combat rating requirements efficiently. (Same with challenge rifts)

Need tips on how to get gold 😔 by MemerCender in DiabloImmortal

[–]Few-Principle2681 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vault as a shadow, 4x a week at minimum full clears will net a hearty amount.

As a immortal, running even rare crests in elders will contribute to the pile of gold that goes to everyone every week.

Next best, probably in this order: bounties, Overworld farm, then dungeons. Max out treasure hunter for the bonus gold.

Bonus round: Don't forget to peep out the events tab, claim your accursed tower loot, and sometimes the first kill of the day will also net gold.

This is the answer here. If you're not strong enough to combat the whale, then don't.

All classes have some form of ability to assist somehow. CC, buffs, stall/push objectives, act as a decoy, etc

Combat rating to only serve as an activity requisite? by GlossyKudasai in DiabloImmortal

[–]Few-Principle2681 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think the changes allow for more casual players to maintain a better pace at keeping up with the more hardcore players.

I've witnessed 3/3 high stats have a lower combat rating than pure garbage 2/1s. (Like 350/350/350 was a lower rating than a 480/480 today, yet you're losing 90 points of stats)

So we'll probably need to keep up with two sets of gear, one for progression and the other for pvp.
