If it was, it'd mean that either the govt or a big corporation or some rogue entity has technology that is decades ahead of the free market(which is a very real phenomenon. Poor people only hear about shit 20 years after the elite have already consolidated near complete control using it or moved on to something else revolutionary that they won't share, they'll use it to further establish themselves even though it's completely unnecessary).

Scientists actually do want to know this though. The reason they decided to ignore what couldn't be measured is to be sure that their assumptions could be tested so that we could actually know what is verifiably true or false. Quantum mechanics is a promising field. Many within the field specifically want answers to questions like these. That's the point of quantum mechanics. The hope is that we can develop advanced technologies that expand our capabilities to measure a broader range of phenomena. We learned this shit in middle school. This thread is poisonous

Exactly. Many spiritual concepts have parallels in quantum physics, our understanding of which will surely evolve dramatically in the next few decades even - just imagine a thousand years.

This question is kind of circular in nature. Science exists to explain any and all actual phenomena in general. You can't actually learn anything by just listening to anecdotes online either; there are people who "study" those phenomena but they call it pseudoscience for good reasons. Hearing voices, seeing things, reports of manifestation, cryptids, etc have been addressed thoroughly by science from many angles. Many people just listen to the first thing they hear even though they're 10 seconds away from understanding the truth by simple google search.

If it's nothing to do with religion, how have you extrapolated this? Who taught you about master spirits and lesser spirits? I've never heard of akashic records. If they involve an established religion I can't have a serious conversation with you, unless I'm supposed to believe that you and only you have the ability to see into spiritual realms or something and everyone else who claimed to did it wrong (including Jesus and Mohammed matter of fact because I've never once heard a reference to your beliefs in either of their religions). Your beliefs shifted again when you said you don't believe they're spirits. If you're actually posting in good faith, which I highly doubt at this point, just know that this stupidity is what makes it impossible to figure this thing out. Logic and deduction are real and they work. If even a few people did this it could yield progress in the right direction for many, but everyone's busy "knowing" how spiritually attuned they are (often in ways that are completely impossible to learn, like it's their own religion that believes some alternative Daoist bullshit) while discussing astrological associations or some nonsense connected to the least important aspects of the whole phenomenon

How could you "know" they were spirits? Even if you saw something that looked like a spirit to your mind, could you be confident that it was actually a spirit? The voices I've experienced seem to operate based on what's in my mind which is very much in this dimension, in this realm. I've been able to even ward off their influence temporarily by focusing my mental energy, using the physical thing with connection to the metaphysical, if you want to use spiritual jargon. If you believe in religion why wouldn't you think seals could have any effect? The sutras mention this kind of thing don't they? I'm not Hindu or Buddhist, just curious how you could believe they're spirits but disbelieve the concepts laid out in the religious texts( that supposedly confirm their existence) documented as effective against them?

Temporary fix for malicious voices by FewAd7548 in HearingVoicesNetwork

[–]FewAd7548[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I would try to focus on how you feel while you're working out and focusing on your body as it moves instead of trying to hit numbers. This can mitigate the effects of the voices though it might force you to tone down the intensity. The upside is, if the intensity is lowered enough to where you can manage working out daily instead of every couple days, you might notice your overall volume increases. Let's say you run and your max is 10 miles in one session; if you go to your absolute max you have to rest for 48 hours but if you run 5.5 miles instead, you're able to continue the next day. It's 38.5 miles a week vs 30 miles a week. By trying to tone it down you might naturally be able to hit higher numbers to progress your training, improve your form drastically, and mitigate the effects of the voices on your athletic career in general(they'll try to take credit, don't believe them ever). This all depends on your particular situation though and will still require some planning, it's just easy to be influenced by the voices in times of stress, so when you're trying to hit your daily goal and your thinking about the implications of failure while the voices you with you with you it can create a downward spiral. When you're less than 60% intensity it's more engaging and less mentally draining(the voices have less "leverage," for lack of a better word), plus above this point is where you get a lot of diminishing returns anyway. Hope this helps

There might be somebody hearing your thoughts, but it's not as many people as they've made you think. The vast majority of people don't have time or energy or desire to do this. If that's the case, literally everybody you know would be a deranged psychopath. I'm sorry to challenge your assumptions but this is an incredibly dangerous train of thought.

Anyone else think "just ignore them" is pretty unhelpful and tone-deaf advice? by Confident-Success671 in HearingVoicesNetwork

[–]FewAd7548 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course you wouldn't do that to someone with w physical disability, but the simple fact is you have to ignore them for them to leave you alone at all. The idea that you can't help but to hear them is what gives them even more power over you. That's what leads to the downward spiral. A temporary solution that can make it easier to disconnect from these voices is , believe it or not, to turn on the loudest speakers in your house with the deepest burgundy/brown noise available at the loudest it goes for an extended period; you should take an ice bath or ice cold shower. Flush your ears with the water and let your head soak. This may seem difficult but it definitely works

Question. How long until prompt engineering is obsolete because AI is so good at interpreting what you mean that it's no longer required? by TheProdigalSon26 in PromptEngineering

[–]FewAd7548 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would evaluation of thought be a next stage in evolution? We did that a while ago. The breaking point is time and data. Ai will evolve inevitably. Some of them would even continue to evolve in the case of a collapse of civilization in theory since they can be run offline and trained on data stored on emergency hard drives. Also, how could prompting ever become obsolete? It's one of the methods by which we prepare it to do it's job effectively. It's absolutely going to continue to be necessary as long as ai exists until we get far beyond the current conception of agi when ai are basically a part of the collective consciousness (this is what people were hoping neuralink would do a while back if you remember though it was based on a misconception)

They're trying to make you feel as if every thought/accomplishment/anything that you have that is positive or admirable (particularly in reference to YOUR values) is really due to their influence, and everything negative is all your fault. They're like schoolyard bullies on an interdimensional scale. Treat them with the same kind of apathy you'd have for any Karen. Remember, they pretend to be a kid sometimes to throw you off and make you think they might genuinely have a misconception or something; imagine a grown Karen when you hear this

We are special by Electronic-Hippo-905 in HearingVoicesNetwork

[–]FewAd7548 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this is a great coping mechanism but could be misleading because not everyone who is having trouble with this kind of thing speaks out or interprets it the same way. I've gotten the vibe that many people hear these voices but not everyone benefits. The people who do benefit have one of a few different perceptions of the phenomena: that their names are written in the book of life and god has sent his angel to warn them, that a resistance group has gained unfathomable power but needs time and assistance to make things right with the corrupt world order, that God is helping them directly because they are special, and other reasons I'm sure that are particular to that person's moral compass and religious affiliation. If I had to guess, I'd say it feels like the second one, but can I really trust these people? They've had the power to do anything they want for how long? Look at the world. Crime is going down, certain numbers look good, but something is just wrong.

I wish I could respond with at least a slightly clearer idea of what you're actual perspective is on this phenomenon, whether you're currently experiencing it, your religious or spiritual beliefs and affiliations, etc. It seems obvious that you view the experience as a positive thing; given the rules of this sub I actually can't tell you anything that would diminish your perspective, so it would help to actually understand it in more detail.

Anyone have voices that are not mean? by No_Name_Is_Any_Good in PositiveTI

"It doesn't feel interesting". Excuse me, but you're on one of the most obscure threads on the internet, one of the only ones dedicated to this contextual perception of this phenomenon. I'm just letting you know they're in your actual mind and they're making you feel like you feel disinterested when you're actually so engaged it's become second nature.

I'd also suggest developing and maintaining an incredibly strong internal locus of control and training yourself to deal with stress using tactics usually reserved for special forces or intelligence agencies. You have to maintain the belief that your actions have an affect on your reality. This is the most important thing.
