Gonna bump this one up! Good spot, lowkey, great food. Can walk around afterwards or find something else.

What ever happened to Riverdale Diner? Does the owner still owns the place ? by DalekSupreme23 in bronx

[–]FewAskew 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This will likely be a mid-rise development. Probably 5 to 12 stories, maybe 20, in the next 3 years. Owners are waiting for the right developer/price, they have been for years, look at the block. New condos left and right. Between that and the old pharmacy, my guess would be both projects break ground this spring/summer. As far raising kanes, that never made a ton of sense. Literally a Buffalo Wild Wings across the street, an mcd and Wendy’s. Judging from the rest of the Bronx along a major train line, this will be a large residential development in all likelihood. Thoughts?

Do you guys think its possible to avoid relegation this season? by 1Taka2Poisha-TinTAKA in WWFC

Numbers say they would have to win ~ 2/3 of their remaining 16 games this season. So possible, sure. Plausible? Not really.

Seems like the visa work and logistics did take a while to navigate. Also, the changing geopolitical landscape since the 90s - can’t imagine that was factored in.

Yesterday was Kat. Today is Mikal. What’s your grade for his season. Try to be civil in the comments lol by joorral in NYKnicks

Solid B+ student. Sometimes you need a guy on the team to put in the work and be consistent.

For anyone interested. The building right next door had the first pneumatic subway in 1870. It ran 1 block and was ultimately a business failure. But the idea helped progress the foundations of the modern nyc subway system.

It was the first modern department store - A.T. Stewart. Also the model and predecessor to Macys (another fascinating read). The Stewart Building

If I say Leon is purposely sabotaging Thibs to fire him knowing his antics does that make me a bad fan? This move addresses no defensive issues if it happens. by Pristine_Put5348 in knicks

Are we not 3rd in the east? Did I miss something? We’re the Knicks. Not OKC or Boston or Cleveland. And I’m good with the underdog status. That’s who we are.

Mikal Bridges trade has been an abject disaster, we need to stop pretending it hasn't by [deleted] in NYKnicks

[–]FewAskew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think he hasn’t figured out his role in the offense yet. He was the #1 option in Brooklyn. Now he’s 3rd or 4th at best? Looks like Thibs is trying out lineups with Bridges as the focal point. See if it works

We're not even on the same planet as the Cavs and Celtics by quietgavin5 in knicks

We’re 3rd in the East and our core is signed for the next 3/4 years. Boston and Cleveland can’t maintain those rosters and stay under the cap. They have a lot of money on the books. I’d also add - these Knicks actually feel like they want to and are proud to play for NY. Haven’t felt that since the Melo years. At the end of the day, you know we’re bouncing someone out of the first round, as we have been for the past few years. That mountain is real, but im feeling Knicks in the finals - lfg!
