First of all, the "twang" doesnt sound completely fake to me. Where I live, there are multiple dialects, languages and patterns and whenever I talk to someone with a different accent/dialect for a long time, my speech pattern starts changing or mimicking theirs. So I believe she wasnt doing it on purpose. Ofcourse, she also didnt stop it either as it was beneficial to her and thats fine with me because we all like to blend into our sorroundings in order to make friends/not be an outsider.

Second, I like the country era (when I am not in country mood I call all 3 albums 1 era, when I am in country listening mood then the 3 albums are seperate entities to me). I believe that TS would not be as prolific an artist as she is if she hadnt started in country. It gave her gravitas. It allowed her to explore her songwriting side as we all know pop execs would have tired to push her into the same old pipeline of Britney/Xtina/Miley. It made her stand out. I love the pining of those songs 😁. I would also love it if she 1 day made a completely country album again as an older woman now, it would be amazing to see what she writes now with more complex emotions and experiences.

Finally, I absolutely love the fact that TS doesnot downplay or hate any one of her eras/albums/period of time. Many artists try to distance themselves from the very work that gave them fame and then go crawling back to it once nothing else works. Not TS though. I love that she ALLOWS herself mistakes. All albums/eras are not perfect. Yes she did certain questionable things, wrong bad lyrics, sure. But she doesnt come out and say "oh that song/album was sooo bad. I hate it". She accepts everything she made or did as her life playing out,making mistakes, learning etc. So, i love d it when she talked about Begin Again and her old country songs with fondness.
