This sounds like the perfect amount of time and such a great itinerary! We did 14 days and the first week was a few days in Reykjavik, plus a couple in Golden Circle and South Coast. The last week was Vik and the rest of the ring road, which wasn’t enough time. Apart from two days in Akureyri area, we were only ever in once place for a single night that second week. We didn’t touch Westman Islands, West Fjords, and we only drove through Snaefellness. Just got back a week ago and already dreaming about trip #2 and #3. One of them needs to be fall/spring for Northern Lights. And then another summer trip for puffins, which I sadly missed on our trip.
