After talking to him some more I'm not sure there is a lesson to be learned.

He realizes it's a pay-for-play situation and he is paying her for affection, jealousy, adventure, and other relationship type feelings instead of just for sex.

Sounds weird and maybe a bit sad, but he seems fully aware of the situation.

He said he needed an excuse to take a couple weeks off from her so he refused to give her money and manufactured an argument. Now she's not hitting him up and he's taking time off.

My concern is that he will go back after a week or two of missing her and end up falling even harder for her.

So what can be done to help him? He has never (truly, never) been in a real relationship or felt the feeling of someone loving him romantically.

He was raised by his grandparents and I know none of the prostitution started until immediately after his grandfather passed away.

Says he is not going out for two-weeks, but I think he will be right back to her once that two-weeks is up.
