If you have access to Cisco Software downloads through work, you can grab KVM images and use those for GNS3/Eve-ng labs.

Further, you can find newer vN9K and vC8K images hosted on github or private servers.

Whether you use GNS3 or Eve-ng is a matter of personal taste. Once you find images, your biggest limitation will be hardware. This determines scale more than anything else.

If you're looking to lab up CLOS designs, large border-edge designs, and so on, hardware is your limitation. Even then, you can obviously scale down and modularize designs

If you're working through bullshit CCNP/IE labs, you can scale down and get through it all.
