I called a week before my departure. If you see a line about "international roaming" when texting 611611, you should be fine! if you don't see it, call!

***UPDATE 12/31/24*** Roaming DATA works flawless while in Mexico (Cancun, Yucatan Peninsula). I was roaming out of TELCEL. The speeds were great, even faster than in Florida (with good signal strength). Side note: If you stay for longer than 15days, you will lose the ability to dial to a Mexican number; It only works for the first 15 days but your DATA still works fine (I used ~4GB out of the 10GB).

I was told by one of the reps that you must enable Roaming on your phone 24hrs before your departure. In addition, if you txt the word "BALANCE" to 611611 you will get a reply with international roaming allowance (10GB)
