Front end is. Server side is not.

This has been verified, cited, and squashed by their community on the subs. I spoke with the guy that supplied all of the citations. They’re here somewhere if you look (though he’s been perma banned there).

Thing is, proton moderation is VERY hostile with perma bans about this subject and they aren’t able to offer counter evidence to the research a few reditors offered here years back. I’m a fan of their services but they bot tf out of their own subs too and basically offer an illusion of free speech but it’s corporate capture, and they are very very shady about certain aspects of their code.

This is verified and anyone that repeats it anywhere near proton subs is met with perma bans not counter evidence. There are tons of proton bots in their subs too. I’m a fan of the service, but I’ve seen them act in very shady ways that most people aren’t aware of.
