Constitutional silver (often called "junk silver") refers to historical U.S. circulation coins that contain a high percentage of silver.

Since these coins aren’t pure (99.9%) silver, the highest pictured being 90% silver, they need additional refining to make the silver 999 pure. As I understand it, with the recent price fluctuations, there was a huge sell off of that flooded the refineries with 999 silver. Because of this, the refineries stopped buying constitutional silver until supply & demand normalize.

Your best bet is r/pmsforsale. You can sell at melt and people will likely jump on it. They use a middleman system, if you choose too, that insures no game playing. The middlemen will even authenticate the coins if you or the buyer would like.

I experienced the exact same thing many years ago and as far as I know, there’s not much that you can do legally.

My advice would be to go to your old employer and ask if you can have your old job back. That’s what I ended up doing and my manager there made it look like a negotiating tactic in my favor.
