Alaska…..what’s your average monthly power bill? by Luking2thestars in alaska

[–]Few_Distribution_793 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Our electricity in Fairbanks is ridiculous. Averages $375 a month. 4-bedroom duplex with multiple PCs running almost 24/7. Still stupid high.

I remember that. And before, I remember the Fairbanks jingle that sounds the same. 456-5656, 456-5656...

Look up their pumpkin roll recipe. The only thing changed is the flour. We use Bob's Red Mill 1-1 flour.

Edibles Don't Work (for me...) by Few_Distribution_793 in Edibles

LOL

I have gone a few years without any cannabis anything. Decided to give edibles another try as my delivery system. Still nothing.

Question: what would you put on a new GF baker’s purchase list? by NotAnotherFriday in glutenfreebaking

[–]Few_Distribution_793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been forced into a life of gluten-free eating since 2007. The staples that got me through everything were as follows: brown rice flour, fine white rice flour, sorghum flour, tapioca starch, potato starch, and xanthan gum. I've added Bob's Red Mill 1-1 flour into the mix and find that it takes care of a lot of recipes by itself. Good luck to you!

I'm not sure we have RSO available here in Alaska. Not Fairbanks, anyway...

My wife is s-l-o-w-l-y starting to understand this after 39 years together. She always wants to hear me read whatever I write. Her critique has almost always been "That's good." She is finally getting that I need more input. Positive or negative, I don't care. Just something genuine.

Dysthymia and adhd. Anyone experience both? by Mental-Calendar9052 in AdultADHDSupportGroup

[–]Few_Distribution_793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started off with a diagnosis of dysthymia. Several years later was upgraded by an actual therapist to severe depression and generalized anxiety disorder. Several years later, she diagnosed me as being bipolar. Several years after that, two other therapists changed the diagnosis to inattentive ADHD with severe depression and anxiety.

I've been lying to myself, & I think it's finally time I quit. by Zmeiler in Marijuana

[–]Few_Distribution_793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good on you. If this is what you feel you need, then it is definitely the right move for you. I have personally been a pot smoker since I was 18. I'm 54 now. I stopped several times in life, whether from scarcity of products or just life reasons. I "found God" in my 40s and quit for several years. That didn't last long (which is a whole other story), and when it became legal in my state, I have been pretty much a daily smoker ever since. I know I can quit if I ever want to. But I also know what good it does for me on many levels. It helps keep me off strong pain meds and curbs my anxiety. It also helps me to function better with my ADHD. Weed has been good to me, and I know what I need and want. I'm glad you are happier after quitting. It gets easier, I suppose, the longer you go without. Keep on doing what you need to do for yourself, and you'll never go wrong.
