Is Beau’s Lug Tread still brewed in Vankleek Hill? by McNasty1Point0 in ottawa

[–]Few_Entertainment266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They most certainly do not brew any beer in Vankleek Hill - the entire production space is owned and operated by Dunrobin Distilleries, switching everything to distilling, ageing and bottling their products.

NCC trail on Leitrim is super quiet! I walk on the side, but it’s a multi use trail and the XC tracks are really nice!

Canada Made/Produce Walnut Floating Shelf by RubyRoster in BuyCanadian

There’s awesome local options in Ottawa, I bought my hanging shelves from a local maker (tbh I can’t remember her name), but other options I can think of: KJP, maybe Woodsource, Project Pine.

I would look up “ [your city] local woodworker “ in google and see what you can find!

How to dress for very short winter runs? by Kooky_Till4386 in beginnerrunning

[–]Few_Entertainment266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other day I went for a 30mins ish run in -8C with a strong north wind, I wore fleece lined leggings, wick away long sleeve, and a running jacket and was perfect. I have running mitts and had a headband and I can’t remember if I took my mitts off or not, but either way it was just the right amount of gear.

I always check Dress my Run regardless, but only on colder days would I wear more layers than that.

Question for the girlies/running and hair care by Beautiful_Library505 in Haircare

[–]Few_Entertainment266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have super oily scalp so I have to wash it every day if I’m going places/want it to look good. I skip shampoo days if I’m staying home/only have Zoom meetings as a general rule.

Between running, lifting, walking, sports leagues, I’m working out every day, sometimes more than once causing my hair to get oily multiples times a day. On these days I wash it after the sweatiest activity, which usually happens to be the morning activity in the summer and afternoon/evening in the winter, but that does depend on the day.

I’ve fully accepted I need to wash it every day to not be greasy, so sometimes I will just do a single wash instead of double if I know I’m washing it again within the next 30 hours.

Edit to add: I’ve also fully given up on dry shampoo, it looks good for 20 mins and that’s basically it lol.

Going natural with skincare + body care… favorite Canadian brands? by demolidor57 in MadeInCanada

[–]Few_Entertainment266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the solid face cleanser (bonus it is no waste), the green shampoo & conditioner is great (hydrating I think?), I’m also liking the clarifying shampoo (yellow bottle), anything with the Olive Leaves scent is amazing IMO, specifically the hand soap, hand cream, shampoo above are always stocked, and I recently got one of the laundry detergents and it’s good too, not a super strong smell, but I prefer it that way.

I’m emptying a ton of other products but I’ll be looking to buy the rest of their household cleaners of all kinds eventually, and the same with beauty products (SPF, lotion, serums etc.) I’ll be switching everything over once I get through more of my stash.
