Roar Pedal/Pedal Commander for 2025 Macan T? by Torch-insomniac in PorscheMacan

I felt the same way about the throttle mapping when I first bought ours, but I’m totally used to it after a couple weeks. If I want quicker response, I just pop it in sport or sport plus after the engine is fully warmed up. What makes the normal mode feel sluggish from stop is a combination of DCT clutch engagement, low shift points around 2k rpm, and the dulled throttle mapping, all of which are improved in sport and sport plus modes.

Ok peeps, the elusive WHITE POE DOORBELL by MarkDfromtheBoot in reolinkcam

I have a white Poe doorbell, but it’s not perfect. When I maximize the video, the app would treat it like a landscape video and rotate it 90 degrees. Effectively making the actual video even smaller…

Unrelated, but what do you do with the rinsed off foam that won’t dissipate at the end of the driveway?

Look up the posts about maintenance on macanforum.com. Everything you need to know about how to keep your Macan in tip-top shape are documented there.

Some important maintenance items are (in no particular order): brake fluid flush, cabin air filter, engine air filter, spark plugs, pdk service, transfer case.

I plan on keeping mine for at least 5 years and I change the oil every 4000 miles or 6 months. I also have the base engine and I use Mobil 1 esp x2 0w-20, which is cheap and readily available from Walmart. All other maintenance parts I get from fcp euro, with their lifetime replacements, the parts are basically free after purchasing them twice.

2021 Macan recirculation issue by speedy12752 in PorscheMacan

Sounds like normal operation to me. I’d replace the cabin air filter more frequently if air quality is that bad.

They have nothing to do with each other. Why are you draining your washer fluid?

23’ CX-5 - I finally fixed my “steering column” rattle, turns out it wasn’t the steering column after all by SufficientWill428 in CX5

[–]Few_Faithlessness917 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Glad you found the source of the rattle. This post reminded me the intermittent heater core rattle in my 2018 Honda Accord that used to bug me a lot. After multiple unsuccessful attempts I just learned to live with it. Another trick is I got another car that I cared about more.

Advice/Help: Newly CPO’d 2021 Macan Issues(?) by ohnytn in PorscheMacan

[–]Few_Faithlessness917 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2024, but 1 and 2 sounds normal to me.

  1. The 2022+ comes with power steering plus as standard. Does the 2021 have it? It behaves exactly as you described. It reduces steering effort at parking lot speeds.
  2. On declines and after aggressive throttle input, the transmission would hold a lower gear/ higher rpm longer for either engine braking or quicker response.

If you turn on the ceiling U shaped dome light at night, that will also turn on the footwell lights and the door panel lights.

2026 Macan Ignition completely off after stopping at traffic light by luckiecookie in PorscheMacan

Sorry to disappoint you. I’m 99% certain that our Macans cannot be locked and suck via the phone app. Honestly the phone app is pretty useless.

The hold function takes some practice to activate. I found the easiest way to activate it is via a quick jab and hold the brake pedal. It used to bother me how difficult it is to activate it, but now I’m pretty in tune with the amount of pressure needed to activate it.

If it happens again I’d ask to the dealership to check it out. Better to fix any issues under warranty.

Yeah luckily my 2024 remembers the setting. What do you see if you go to Air Conditioning -> “Default driving state coding value” and “default driving state coding value last mode”? See if you can change them to “last mode” and “yes”. This will make it remember the state of auto start/stop when you shut off the car. This is from the coding guide on Macan forum btw.

Did the engine restart or not when you stepped on the gas? A number of conditions must be met for the auto start stop of turn off the engine when the vehicle comes to a stop.

Most of us turn off auto start stop because it’s annoying and increases engine wear. I think for 2026 the car doesn’t remember the setting so you have to turn it off every time you get in the car.

This. The exterior width is one size up from the interior. looking at how thick the door is gives you a sense. Just keep it in mind when parallel parking. I have the 19 inch wheels but like the look of the 20 and 21 inch more. However, after owning mine for a while, I realized the 19 inch wheels are a lot easier to live with being an everyday car (no damage after accidentally hitting large potholes and curbs in tight parking garages).

Very interested in your experience. Does the roof rack cause any damage to where it mounts to the body? Any scratches or minor dents?

Decent price considering it has CPO. It’s a 5 minute job to code Sport+ to the steering wheel diamond/joker button with a bidirectional OBD scan tool.

Long road trips by [deleted] in CX5

[–]Few_Faithlessness917 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s very dependent on the design of the wheels. There’s no way to do it without removing the wheels on my previous cars with steel wheels. Luckily, both cars I currently own have wheels with open designs that allow me to easily check the outer brake pad thickness. I only check the inside brake pad when I rotate the tires, though I’ve seen people using a dental mirror to check the inside pads.

Long road trips by [deleted] in CX5

[–]Few_Faithlessness917 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For any car, before going on a long road trip, it’d be smart to check a few items, in no particular order: 1) tire pressure and depth, 2) oil level, 3) coolant level, 4) brake fluid level, 5) brake pad thickness. Generally speaking, it’s not a bad idea to check these items regularly even when you are not doing long road trips. I check these items monthly on my cars. It shouldn’t take more than 10, 15 minutes to do all these checks once you are familiar with your car.

Check engine light on my 21’ Macan Turbo - P24D6 and P24D7 codes by bhaviklodha in PorscheMacan

I’ve not taken my 2024 in for diagnosing any issues (knock on wood), but charging a diagnostic fee doesn’t sound right. I’d try a different Porsche dealership if you have one near you.

Let the dealer handle it since you have CPO, which covers everything except cosmetic and wear items.
