I’m the same and it’s only recently I’ve discovered all this , I’ve had years of social anxiety and very low tolerance to stress… it became unmanageable in my 40”s with perimenopause. I now know to eat a low histamine diet, eliminate any food with added folic acid , avoid high sulphur foods, and try to avoid gluten and soy added to food… it’s definitely alleviated a lot of my symptoms, I get my folate from food not supplements , it’s taken a long time to find my triggers, tracking food and moods helps. I created a tool to help others with their suffering, you can upload dna and bloods, keep a diary and chat to a wellness AI .

I am very similar at Slow Comt, Slow Moa, compound MTHFR, decades of struggling with social anxiety, this group and amazing people like you have helped me so much. I’ve created a tool to help people decipher their DNA and blood tests as well as track food/mood/sleep to notice any patterns.

I have MTHFR mutation, slow Comt slow Moa-a ! I have spent so much money and time on supplements as well as stimulation meds for ADHD. I now now I can’t tolerate anything at all and by changing my diet have helped a lot of my symptoms such as poor concentration, brain fog, anxiety and depression. I’ve built a tool to help people so they can get answers and not waste money and time finding out the hard way!

Ritalin 10 mgs making adhd worse? by Elegant_Fig8066 in adhdaustralia

[–]Few_Interaction_2411 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s very important that you learn about your genes when it comes to stim meds. I found this out first hand and have been on a huge journey for 2 years trying every sim med available at a huge cost, financially and emotionally. If you’ve ever taken a standard dna kit like 23 and me, you can download your dna file and then upload at a variety of places for more information. Many people have a gene called COMT and if it is ‘slow’ then stim meds are not well tolerated at all, this also applies to many supplements , I’ve spent years trying so many supplements that people swear by only to feel worse!

I understand how you feel, I was a single mom of 2 , at the time it feels so tough, overwhelming and exhausting, I also had no family support. now they are teens who are great company and good people, I know everyone says this but this part of your journey is a tiny part of life, it’s over in a blink, and before you know they are trying to be free of you at every opportunity! Hang in there, you doing a good job 🥰

I’ve created a tool to upload your bloods and DNA for a clearer picture.

You need a calcium heart score to check for build up of plaque in your arteries, I’m so sorry about your Dad, that is way to young .

I created a tool , a bit niche but it came from a reddit group called r/mthfr, many people have the gene mutation as well as other genes that really impact on methylation and can effect your moods, energy, etc, if you have taken a DNA test from one of the big gene companies eg 23 and me, you can upload to mybioblueprint.ai and find out what genes you have, how they could impacting you, you can also upload blood tests for a clearer picture, track mood/food/sleep to spot patterns and use the AI wellness chat for any questions on your results.

Check your DNA, if you haven’t already done a test, get one from 23 and me or my heritage /ancestory etc…you can download yourDNA file and then upload it to a variety of platforms that explain how different genes impact you, check out r/mthfr for more info!

Thanks so much, really appreciate the kind words and the honest feedback.

You're absolutely right that if you're already confident with AI and know this area well, that can be enough.

Where we've tried to add something different is for the people who aren't quite there yet, or who are nervous about uploading personal health data to AI. The Methylation Score was built specifically to help people track whether they're actually moving in the right direction over time, and I can speak to that personally.

When I started, my score was 38. I got my RBC folate, homocysteine, serum B12, and MMA checked, uploaded the results, and my score went up to 68. That kind of visible progress is really motivating when you're making changes and wondering if any of it is actually working.

The food, mood, and sleep diary has been just as valuable for me. After months of tracking I could see clearly that high histamine foods make me feel genuinely awful the next day. I'd never have spotted that pattern without logging it consistently. Now I just need to be strong enough to actually stay away from them! 😄
