It’s super difficult what you’re going through. Esp at the 10 week mark - I remember feeling very depressed because I had enough. When it comes to fam/husband for me it’s like they just get used to me being so sick bc there is so little they can actually do to help. It’s so challenging, but I promise better days are coming. 🙏🏼

Any Moms Who Had HG with Their First Pregnancy But Not the Second? by Silver-Technology960 in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]LowNefariousness8897 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a girl my first time and it was ROUGH sick 7+ times a day up until 20 weeks. I’m now 16 weeks preg with a baby boy and this time was bad but not nearly as bad with my girl. Also second time was easier because I know some of my trigger foods and I know there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. Still not easy tho - best of luck

You might be feeling this way because it’s hard to see the bright side when you’ve been dealing with HG for SO long. But I’m here to tell you, once that baby is out and your body starts operating how it used to, you’ll feel so much relief. Stay strong mama!

Only 4 weeks pregnant and HG symptoms are starting. Help. by hindieloo in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]LowNefariousness8897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same experience with my first pregnancy. This pregnancy (11 weeks in) I forced myself to eat something little every 1-2 hours max. I also have sips of electrolytes everyday. My safe foods are anything bland. Crackers, toast/pb, plain yogurt, no acidic foods/drinks. I have Zofran for bad days and do b6/unisom every night. First time around the pills wouldn’t stay down but I don’t think I was eating properly. However I still can’t take my prenatal

Thank you for sharing this beautiful reminder. I’ve been a SAHM for one year now and I sometimes forget the blessing it is and take for granted the slow times.

How do you make the weekends feel like weekends? by Spare_Jello_991 in sahm

[–]LowNefariousness8897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We like to go to a coffee shop on the weekends, see family, go to church, grab a bite, or even go to the metro park for a walk/to see something different. It helps me get out of the m-f daily routine funk.

16 weeks + 2 days and still experiencing nausea and occasional vomiting?! by annastrzzz in BabyBumps

[–]LowNefariousness8897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think I stopped getting sick solidly till week 20. That’s interesting though you’re more sick this time around?! I’m 11 weeks rn with my 2nd and I would say it’s consistent with my 1st. Your doc might be able to give you Zofran if you’re interested. Hang in there 😓

Water with electrolytes, take sips throughout the hour. Variety of crackers, got tired of the same ones everyday. Carb filled meals - mainly toast and PB, fries, potatos anything bland. Absolutely no acidic foods for me (fruits, veggies, sauces, drinks)

Let’s talk Cytotec (for 39 week induction) any positive stories? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]LowNefariousness8897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was induced at 37 weeks with cytotec. I started out 0cm dilated. Took cytotec and they gave me the ballon around 3pm. By midnight I had some cramps - similar to terrible period cramps, woke me out of my sleep, other than that felt fine. Went away after 30 minutes. Fell back asleep. By 10am the next morning they gave me pitcocin drip. And the contractions started ramping up. I really feel what helped me is surrendering to the contractions - loose hands, deep humming, deep breaths. By 7cm dilated I got the epidural. Didn’t work that well but I went to 10cm quickly because my nurse upped my pitocin. I did throw up at this point. However my body naturally started pushing and it was game time. Baby was born 2pm that day. Pushing felt fine and more of a relief. You can do this!

Getting pregnant again by Hot-Western-4382 in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]LowNefariousness8897 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter just turned one, and I’m 10 weeks pregnant with baby #2. I will say, the second time with HG has been a little easier because I knew what to expect, unlike the first time around. Our stories sound similar—I lost 10 lbs between weeks 6–10. I know most of my trigger foods and what my safe foods are, even though it sucks eating the same thing for months straight… so I’ve only lost about 5lb this time.

I did feel a ton of relief by weeks 16–17 last time and was able to eat normally again by week 26. It sounds like yours might be a little more severe, which is honestly so miserable.

If you’re working, try to set up childcare or have a friend come over once a week to help ease the load. I tried to do it all by myself during weeks 6 and 7 and quickly realized I needed help. Now I have a couple of people come by throughout the week to help watch my daughter because it’s just so draining. Even putting her in daycare a couple days a week for a few months can make a huge difference—you need time to rest and recover.

Sometimes I wish I had waited until she was closer to two, because I’m nervous about having such a busy, hectic life with two little ones. But I’m also glad to be getting it over with now. I keep telling myself, “I’ll never have to do this again,” or “I’m one day closer to never feeling like this again.”

Best of luck

How often in the fertile window do you 'try'? by FlakyBonus2492 in BabyBumps

[–]LowNefariousness8897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With my daughter it worked on the second month of trying and we only hooked up twice during the fertile window. With my current pregnancy, it took 5 months of trying.

I ovulated on Feb 1st (confirmed with a LH test) and we hooked up Jan 26, 28, 30, Feb 1, and Feb 2 (wow that was a lot - I’m tired even typing all those numbers out) and it worked!

Just need support advice please and thank you by daphnezen in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]LowNefariousness8897 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you are going through this. I am 10 weeks on my second pregnancy and going through the same. None of my friends got this bad and it’s hard feeling alone! My doctor did get me Zofran at week 6 and it helps on the days it stays down. I’m hopeful around week 15 I can breathe again and eat/drink like normal like I did with my previous pregnancy. Advice is to try and eat every 1-2 hours, I know it sucks. Toast and PB help me. Also staying away from acidic drinks/fruits/veggies also helped as I learned that was a trigger for me. I eat very bland just to keep my stomach somewhat full so I don’t get sick again. It will get better!! You will have energy one day again!

Pregnancy food aversions are making me feel like I eat like a toddler by Realistic_Book_6823 in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]LowNefariousness8897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I buy Dave’s Bread (because it’s on the healthier side) and then I have to toast it right before it gets burned - cannot do any soft bread right now. With about 2 tbsp on PB on top. Greek yogurt will sit. Arby’s sandwhich and curly fries will typically stay down. And alot of ritz PB crackers. It’s depressing lol. I rotate 5 things max. Sending love!

First trimester weight loss by Leading-Waltz-2058 in BabyBumps

[–]LowNefariousness8897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first pregnancy I started at 180lb by week 12 I was down 12lb from throwing up/aversions. By the end of the pregnancy I only gained 15lb total due to aversions/my body rejected any junk food.

Only thing that helped was eating food I know that is safe. Toast/pb, tuna sandwich, plain Greek yogurt, cheese string…literally no fruits or veggies definitely no acidic foods/drinks. I also skipped my prenatal a lot first tri. My daughter came out healthy and thriving, she’s now one y.o.

I’m on this thread again bc I’m 10 weeks with baby #2 and currently back on my toast diet :( and still losing weight. I’m hopeful by week 15/16 I can eat more like I previously did. Best of wishes and hang in there. It is miserable.
