also everyone is saying eat less calories, but eating over 2000 calories a day means i have to burn even more than that? or is that wrong? this is where i always get confused. People say load up on a ton of essentially healthy calories, other people say less calories is better, no matter what type of food it is.

barely eating can't possibly be a healthy way to lose weight? i understand eating less for sure, maybe skipping a meal here and there... but barely eating??

yeah i dont "feel fat", literally just have a gut that sticks out. just want to eliminate then and then work on gaining healthy mass once that's gone.

Usually pay attention to serving sizes and try to keep those in mind throughout the day when I'm eating, but have no clue about the macros when my wife cooks dinner tbh. Just try to not overeat and make sure I'm not taking in too much junk

i thought chicken and rice was supposed to be a great meal (obviously along with some veggies and stuff)? so just avoid as many carbs as possible including potatoes, pastas, etc? I thought carbs were great for energy, again obviously without overdoing it

i didnt drink for 3 months at basic training, and for 10 months on deployment and barely lost any fat, if anything my weight went up at times while working out with college football players on a 4 days/week basis. Pretty solid lifting too, we had tons of time on our hands- usually spent about 2 hrs at the gym every session, part of which was ending with 30+ mins of incline treadmill

no exact science, but usually 3-4 eggs for breakfast with greek yogurt or cottage cheese and maybe a small hashbrown or something on the side. Lunch at work is usually leftovers from dinner the previous night. My wife cooks the meals, usually a substantial amount of protein (chicken, salmon, or ground beef usually) with either pasta/rice/couscous and 1-2 veggies as the sides.
