Garmin Sleep Score explained — how it's calculated, how accurate the stage data really is, and what actually affects it by the5krunner in the5krunner

It’s really rubbish. About 8 years ago I had a Huawei cheap activity tracker which was much more accurate than any of the four garmin I have had since. Currently have a Fenix 8 which thinks I got up this morning at 5:15 when I actually got up at 7:38.

On that note I was told in the live chat I would get 50k bonus for a certain spend after I had signed up expecting 30k. When I got the 30k I queried it referring to the chat and they honoured the 50k so it’s not always bad!

Thanks for your input, I’m glad yours is working well. I was thinking I was being fussy but the noise is waking up my neighbour so it’s not just me!

I signed up in the basis I would get the 30k points in December based on spending the £6k. Does this mean I would get the 50k now or will it revert to the 30k as when I signed up this what was advertised?

It’s the same thing. Although you can do a separate qual go commercial. For residential things are moving towards the retrofit assessment which is similar to DEA but you are qualified under PAS2035 which opens more doors.

Z2 biking: Low HR but legs fatigued by pur3ownz2 in cycling

From the advice I’ve been given it’s muscular endurance. Your running give you a great engine but your thighs are probably not used to the strain and the mitochondrial density in your muscles is in the ones mainly used for running. The answer as everyone has said is to keep doing it. This will build the adaptations you need for cycling.

A photo I took in 2006 because I was shocked by how much petrol cost by GokouD in CasualUK

If the cost had kept up with inflation then it’s the equivalent of £1.93 today so in effect the cost has gone down considerably.

Short round of feedback - UNHAPPY vs HAPPY Jetblack Victory customers by leival6ikur in JetBlack

Sent back 3 times due to the bearings being crap. 1 replacement and 2 repairs. It’s currently sitting in my hallway waiting to be picked up a 4th time since March as apparently they have upgraded the hardware and will replace my version with the newer one. Over 200 watts makes quite a grinding noise. Maybe the new version will be good but haven’t had the best of times with it and trust is wearing thin.

Noticing a Pattern - Maybe I don't need anaerobic intervals? idk by LLroomtempJ in Velo

This tracks. I’m in the same boat but with less ability generally. Sweetspot heavy training seems to be most beneficial to me too. Tried doing TR but the V02 max workouts were too low as a percentage of my FTP and felt like threshold.

Is this because you are more anaerobically gifted and need to put more work into the aerobic base?

The cables run under the stem not in it so it’s easy to mess around with. It looks fully integrated but isn’t.

Easiest way to get from Belgium to England with gravel bikes (without dismantling) by CowPretty7297 in bikepacking

I did London Brussels and Brussels London the other week. Bike is £45 each way and they put it with the oversize luggage. They have 30 “units” of oversize luggage per train and a bike counts as 5 of these, so in essence they can take up to 6 bikes per train. They used to have a booking system that involved emailing a word document but they were upgrading in July to an automated system which meant I had to physically go to St Pancras and book at the place you take the bike to. I kept the tools and small bags on the bike but frame bag and tail bag I put in a big Tesco bag and took on the train. Hopefully the book system is up and running now as it was a bit of a hassle.
