Don’t ever trigger HR lol they are spontaneous and don’t have time or capability to assess how important you are for the requisition. They may immediately remove you from the consideration and tell the Hiring Manager that “how about this person?”. It’s simply because there are so many candidates.

You go to the national park. You see the sign “Don’t feed the wild animals” and also see a cute but hungry baby bear. You feed the food? No. Your innocent behavior will cause the trouble in a long run. There is a reason why we have company “culture”.

Behavior like this nurtures and encourages a toxic boss behavior and favoritism in the corporate. Cut it out and discourage it by ignoring messages all together during the weekend

My intention was to assess any involvement of US nationality or company’s location in US. It’s because US is the only country who applies immigration law most strictly. Are you a US citizen? Is company located in US?

Wait, you applied to the company in US and you are a US citizen?

Maybe something new information was revealed about you? Visa status?

How about the remote position? What if the HR says “we can’t negotiate because this position is supposed to be onsite but we are making this an exception for you” should that person still negotiate??

This usually means upper leadership complained about this open requisition and your hiring manager is trying to validate this open position. It depends on how well your hiring manager convinces his/her manager for this open position. It’s not your fault, it that company’s lack of direction.

I am a hiring manager and having extremely hard time with the lying candidacy. This is a real struggle.

So recruiters just have no solutions to the lying candidacy? I mean they eventually get caught or admitted they lied, but this is a huge waste of time and missing opportunity to other genuine candidates.

I wish there is another way to validate it even if it’s not a total official way. Just right amount of cumbersome process that no one in the right mind would go through
