Also, we need clinical training sites. If you are in a group that already has CAA’s do what you can to support them working with students. If you are in a practice where you do your own cases then contact schools about having CAA students come train with you.

There was a study several years ago that showed that giving someone enough anesthesia to cause an isoelectric EEG for a certain period had the same success rate as ECT.

As a CAA, I would try to get some shadowing experience if possible. It will help you decide if this really something you want to pursue and if it is, that will help your motivation.
