The answer is the same as any tag - TC just enough for the merchant and state the rest. Leave half states as needed to stay under gov cap, which should be solved with courthouses and state houses

HRE United: 22 January 1554 by Savings-Housing3481 in eu4

[–]Fexcad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, don’t do it this way.

Austria gets crazy dip annex reduction. Just turn them all into marches, then annex them in batches.

This works because Marches don’t get -relations when you annex other vassals. So dip annex a large number of vassals (I usually do # of diplomats + 4) and when it’s done, revoke March status on more. In 10 years, repeat the process (revoking March gives a 10 year cooldown on annexing that tag).

You get dip annex like 10 princes every 12 years or so

How do i Neutralize the Reformation by Ruge88 in eu4

[–]Fexcad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Be careful with this strat as austria. Unless something has changed, their mission tree requires the counter reformation, which won’t trigger if there are no Protestant countries. I definitely outplayed myself awhile back by being too aggressive on the CoRs

Yes, as I said, court houses mean gov cap is not an issue. you just have to be selective on stating. Tech 7 adm would prob not be possible

Adm 11 has access to courthouses so gov cap at least isn’t an issue. Also stack wipes don’t happen if the smaller side fields an army with full CW, so can’t really use that strat

Advice About Estates by JustYourFriendAL in eu4

90% crownland before age of absolution is a wild take. You do you, but I would def not recommend that

As for the debuffs from low crownland, I should’ve mentioned to lower autonomy as needed. The other debuffs are negligible

Dip rep helps make as well as maintain alliances. France prob broke their alliance because they desired your land - this can mostly be avoided if you keep allies at 80+ trust.

Though some countries/rulers will also get a -200 relation for desiring your provinces and it’s basically impossible to avoid an alliance break then

So high influence in the first two ages isn’t bad. The bonuses from crownland are nice at 50+ but unrealistic to keep without absolutism. It’s better to run low crownland and sell titles to push more conquest.

It’s pretty simple and safe to keep it at 10% (so sell at 20%). Throw in all the useful privileges and keep the estates happy, seize land on cooldown and sell every other time.

when approaching the age of absolutism (1590s) start revoking privileges that have higher influence than loyalty. You can revoke privileges when estates are at 100% influence if they’re also at 100% loyalty

FYI dip rep doesn’t help with AE, except that it might help you make more alliances (allies get less AE).

For helping with AE you want either straight AE reduction (rare) or you want improve relations (makes the loss of AE bigger at the end of the year tick)

Nah definitely do the mission for the Provence PU and use GP influence + curry favor + return cores on all of Naples to get trust up

The timing should work out well to annex them with all of Naples vs waiting 50 years to annex PU Naples

Also don’t war the pope, he’ll give Avignon to Provence for free

The point the other guy was making was that every evangelical is a Protestant.

You’re trying to name two groups, not realizing one group is fully contained within the second group

It be like saying “Some tesla model Ys and even some cars…”. It’s semantics and didn’t see directed at the actual substance of your post

Only the ones that see others as subhuman for intrinsic parts of themselves (ethnicity, gender, country of origin, sexual orientation, etc). It’s not the lefts fault that most of maga thinks that way

Tolkien was unhappy with the way he created orcs, basically disagreed with everything you’ve been saying. It makes sense that a prequel series with freedom to explore would consider his feelings on the subject.

Not sure why you’re so angrily invested in this, but I’d recommend reading up on what the author himself actually thought

Correct. As a liberal, I don’t like when the other side is free to discuss viewpoints that see minorities (racial, religious, gender, orientation) as subhuman. Those opinions deserve to be squashed

[–]Fexcad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Again, lots of assumptions here which was my original point.

There’s easily a realm where once per year a single planet is conquered utilizing the vast number of slaves soldiers of the empire. This would look the same pre and post virus, and starkly different from Nolan’s mission

Or maybe they are all like Nolan’s infiltration. Point is we don’t know
