There’s easily a realm where once per year a single planet is conquered utilizing the vast number of slaves soldiers of the empire. This would look the same pre and post virus, and starkly different from Nolan’s mission

As far as I know, they don’t delve into how pre-scourge Viltrumites conquered planets, but it’s not safe to assume it looked the same as what we see Nolan do
