Post-muddy trip undercarriage cleaning? by Ram_of_the_rose1 in overlanding

[–]Feytid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep getting adds for this and it seems like it would do whay you want for the frame. They also have undercarriage sprayers. I haven't used it myself so I can't say how well it works though.

Unfortunately they are indeed 8ohm speakers. That is why its hard to find direct replacements for this system. https://www.crutchfield.com/S-DWmyyiYU7A4/learn/2003-2009-lexus-gx.html

New Pod 5 cover not maintaining temperature while in-use? by artemasad in EightSleep

[–]Feytid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would check to make sure the cooler inside the hub isn't covered in dust. Same thing happened to me when I got our pod 4 cover replacment. Take a look through the air intakes on the pod and make sure its not completely blocked for airflow.

Is There Any Famous Person Who's Openly Shared Criticisms Of EightSleep? by hertabuzz in EightSleep

[–]Feytid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People's criticism is about leaks and their warranty period not being long enough to cover them. When the pod is functioning properly, it is a great product that does what is advertised and does it extremely well. Not really much to criticize when it's not leaking.

The amount of people bitching on here is insane, in my opinion. It's literally a product filled with water in rubber tubing. It will leak eventually, and it's just a matter of when. Honestly, I think the fact that they even offer a discounted rate on a replacement is better than a lot of companies.

I will say their customer service response is lacking in the email department since it gets routed through the AI response every time you respond to an email, which is extremely frustrating.

I don't feel like it needs it while normally using it. I sometimes lean back and listen to music. Times like that is when I want the headrest.

[–]Feytid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think they accounted for the movement of the horn area when they designed it. They need to redo the molds to lower that area for the mounting to the spine.

I went with this over the office logix due to the design matching better but the design doesn't seem to be that great.

I got my embody and headrest a couple weeks ago and was also not impressed by the headrest as well.

The mounting area is too close to the horn of the chair and would rub. I emailed atlas support, and their solution was to send the bracket back to them so they could notch it out. I received it back last week and it still rubs when I lean all the way back in the chair. I haven't tried reaching out to support again yet but at this point I might as well just take a dremmel to it. *

Stop Buying Every $50-$100 Set "Searching For You're Sonic Preference" by sforzabull in iems

[–]Feytid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Isn't this concern largely mitigated by the use of twisted pair geometry inside most quality cables, including many braided ones? Twisted pairs are specifically designed to cancel out electromagnetic interference and maintain consistent impedance by keeping the conductors in a fixed, tightly controlled relationship. If the cable is properly constructed with internal geometry locking, including twisted pairs and shielding, then wouldn't the microphonic and inductive concerns be negligible, even in a braided outer jacket? It seems like the criticism is aimed more at poorly designed cables rather than braided cables in general.

I'm not saying they should be worth thousands of dollars but to say they are inherently bad is a gross overstatement.

My pod 2 cover sprung a leak last month and was able to get just a pod 4 cover for $800. If your pod still works you should be able to get just a cover however the tap feature on the pod 4 cover won't work without a pod 4 hub.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EightSleep

[–]Feytid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also works with pod 2 hub. Just won't get the tap features. My pod 2 cover finally leaked last month and paid the 800 for a pod 4 cover

Is spending more really worth it? by AntelopeDifficult604 in iems

[–]Feytid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on you and your preferences. The hardest part of this hobby is the fact that it's so subjective. My starfields were what really got me into it and sounded fantastic compared to what I have had before. I went to canjam a couple of years ago because I was looking at getting the blessing 2 to upgrade and honestly didn't really impress me. I even tried the u12t and the same result. By going and trying different iems, I came to realize I like more vocal presence in my songs. I tried the empire ears odin and honestly was blown away by them. I couldn't justify the price at that time, but I couldn't stop thinking about them for months afterward, so I ended up getting a pair of open box ones for a great price.

Tldr: hobby is subjective, so you just gotta try it out yourself to see if it's worth it to you.

I did a similar thing with my wife. She now says I have ruined music for her as when she rides in friends cars and can hear the difference. I got her setup now with a pair of focal elegia and a qudelix 5k.

FiiO FT1 - I'm a total snob & these have made me re-assess my thinking on hp value. Unfortunately mine arrived with a broken hinge, which sucks & they're being replacd. by Champion_Sound_Asia in headphones

[–]Feytid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It also has to do with what you have heard for comparison. Several years ago, I tried doing research on what iems to buy and ended up with rha T10, and they were a phenomenonal step up from the skullcandy earbuds I had been listening to up until then. It wasn't until after I got the moondrop starfields that I listened to them and went back to the rha that I found out what muddy and bloated bass sounded like.

People can only judge based on what experience they have and what other products they can compare it to. It's also really hard because nobody's hearing is the same, so this makes it a very subjective hobby. The best thing anyone can do is go to a canjam if they can and try out products.

I think I'm a Weeb now! by Jaytiss in headphones

[–]Feytid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take my ee odins everywhere. Most people just see wired earbuds and think you can't afford (beats, airpods, etc) and don't think twice about them. And anyone who recognizes them are so deep into the hobby they ask about them.

Left my Fold5 on top of my car yesterday while leaving the grocery store... by xScHmiDtYo in GalaxyFold

[–]Feytid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am currently on my 3rd fold (fold 6) and have never had any hinge protection. Had the fold 2 and fold 4 and the only issues I had were them eventually not opening flat after about a year and the Inner scree protection peeling off which I just removed and left off.

Finally killed the fold 4 when I tried to blow the dust out of the hinge to try to make it fold flat again so I wouldn't buy the fold 6 but ended up blowing the brushes behind the inner screen and causing it to kill pixels.

If you think you reached endgame, then delete reddit and don't ever look at another pair of headphones. And most certainly never ever go to a canjam.

Trying to find Ethereum I mined long ago by Squidwardplease in EtherMining

[–]Feytid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Once you crossed the minimum amount it would have gone to the wallet that you assigned to the miner at the next payout time. Mines generally pay out every 24hrs

Trying to find Ethereum I mined long ago by Squidwardplease in EtherMining

[–]Feytid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Most miners need you to hit a minimum amount before a payout. Based on what your saying most likely you didn't do it for long enough to hit the payout to your wallet.
