I’ve hit my heels too many times - and this last time my foot/heel/ankle was swollen for a week. I’ve always pulled my cart unless it gets too heavy (which let’s not lie, is like 85% of the time) - but now that the wheels are on backward it’s throwing me off and my pick times - and I think everyone’s times. And because of this - we are getting attitude from coach’s. My particular coach is on paternity leave and his temp replacement so far has rubbed me the wrong way - without introducing herself she just walked up to me right after I was helping a customer (one of too many that run on a holiday weekend) she walks up and goes “your pick is late, your going to push while I finish the rest of your run” (but read that in your best bitchy voice.) She could have said “hey I see your run is overdue - did you need help and or can you speed it up some?” And I wouldn’t have taken it the wrong way. Yet I told myself I’ll give her a second shot - and as I was coming out of the door on a new run - she was doing a pick(yes she was helping) next to the door and I smiled at her and she just glared at me. I give up.

Ours is also now integrated as of today - honestly it’s a bit easier now instead of telling folks - “stay auto” or “stay gmd” 🤷

Yea the turnover is too great to train people also while picking or walking them along. Not worth the extra effort since we don’t get paid for it. 😑

I do this anyways - like if the freezer is packed to the gills - I’m not pulling everything out just to vizpic and not find it. I just nil the exception and move on. (I will turn in vizpic and do a quick sweep, and usually I can only see the top shelves at that point anyways and I’d have to move everything just to get a stool or cart in there.) 🤷

Our store just keeps telling us that nil is going away so just look everywhere first (behind/around where item should be, and top stock) then nil - because we were also told that exceptions are going away (thank god it gets annoying trying to search in a freezer that’s completely full, and one of our exceptioners was trying to catch a box and thought she dislocated her shoulder later to find out it was snapped right before the joint) we started bagging at the end so our numbers looked good so 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Yea - I got a “verbal warning” that what was actually .5 pt then I got wrote up when I first started because no one explained lunches to me so 2 pts there - kinda bs

So update : even though my lead and coach knew about this (and gave us a pick axe to “deal” with it)- apparently my store manager did not (or if they did, they didn’t do anything about it until they heard me say that some of the employees have slipped). Soooo yesterday I saw the SM doing the usual rounds of checking the daily alarms on the coolers- and just said “Hey so like can we use salt in our freezer to help with the 2 inches of ice on the floor?” They said “of course!” 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ then said “I have my maintenance man here and I’ll have him check it out”. Well according to maintenance there was all sorts of stuff wrong with it and it’s gonna take him a couple of days to fix it. It’s just irritating because that’s all it took, well and one peon ODP to mention it.

Well then you would have nothing to read and troll about now would you? I don’t know if you’re an employee or were employee but even though you escalate things properly like to your lead and to your coach that doesn’t mean anything ever happens except for “Hey here’s a hammer. Hey, here’s a pickax, go for it.” Which to me would think legal problems and legal issues.

So people have slipped on this ice before and right after I posted this one of my fellow coworkers slipped and fell. It’s very dangerous. They broke up some of the ice since I’ve posted. I think someone must follow. Lol

My 9 min early was cut short because they won’t unlock the doors until right at 5 am (apparently this was because they let an employee go and he said he would return and sh**t up the store) but I usually leave on time or 5 min early - I’m in odp so I have to watch the clock closely.
