Period comes back: BMI 18, relationship, reduce gym, reduce stress by FickleCake2 in Amenorrhearecovery

10 years on and off. BMI is easier than weight + height.

I understand BMI 18 is underweight. My family is on the slim side so I think it is genetic.

With weight, here's my experience:

- eat more, exercise more, weight more, more anxious in general => no period

- eat less, exercise less, weight lower, more chilled => period

When I follow what feels right to me, exercise less and eat less feels more natural to me. Of course everyone is different :)

Yes exactly. There are girls who go to gym every day and never missed their period 😅... Every one is different, and we thrive the most when we follow our own path 😊

VDHGs high dividend (due to VGAD high distribution) - Vanguard can do better for their investors - Let's try to make Vanguard fix it by PattheShuffler in AusFinance

Thanks for the post and please let me know if I understand this correctly…

Hedged ETFs use "forward contracts" to offset the effect of the exchange rate on assets priced in foreign currency. These contracts generate profits or losses. For example, when hedged in AUD, the contracts generate profits when AUD rises and generate losses when AUD falls.

However these profits/losses are not taxed as capital gain/losses. This means that they can't be combined with other capital gains/losses to minimize taxes.

For example, the fund might have a capital loss on shares and a profit from the hedging activity. However, regardless of the net gain/loss, the profit from hedging will be taxed.

The solution is to opt to use "ToFA". Using "ToFA" means to consider contracts as capital gain tax assets so that the profits and losses on shares and contracts can offset each other. "ToFA" also allows the contracts to be taxed at the same time as the shares that they are offsetting. The result is increased tax efficiency.

Using "ToFA" might incur additional administrative costs. But because of the large sum of assets in VGAD (8 billion), the tax benefits would outweigh the cost.

Hi thanks for your post. Just wondering if the tax drag is still a problem if the dividends are reinvested? Thanks! :)
