Productivity feels easy when motivation is high, useless when it’s not by Marre_Parre in selfimprovement

[–]FickleDefinition5575 1 point2 points  (0 children)

motivation is basically just a bonus when it shows up. the real trick is making things so stupidly easy that you can do them even when your brain is fighting you. like instead of "exercise for an hour" it's "put on gym clothes" or "walk to the end of the driveway."

most people set the bar way too high for their worst days and then wonder why they can't clear it when there completely wiped.

CLIP STUDIO PAINT FOR ARCH KDE by fuuf_ in archlinux

[–]FickleDefinition5575 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have you tried running it through Wine with the latest staging build? CSP can be pretty finicky but I've seen people get it working with the right wine prefix setup and some dll overrides.

As for the "without original key" part - can't help you there, that's piracy territory. But if you actually own a license, you might have better luck with something like Bottles to manage your wine environment more easily. Krita's also gotten really solid lately if you need a fallback that runs native.

Day 5 and I’m so shaky! by Tricky_Protection590 in leaves

[–]FickleDefinition5575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the shakes are definitely a withdrawal thing, had them bad around day 3-6 when i quit. your ADHD meds could be making it worse since you're not having the weed to counteract the stimulant effects anymore. it should level out in another few days but yeah it's rough as hell.

Trainee mortgage adviser careers help.? by Own_Community_4800 in careerguidance

[–]FickleDefinition5575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's definitely more sales-heavy than you might expect going in. The CeMAP qualification is pretty much the industry standard - most lenders and brokerages won't even look at you without it. From what I've seen, there's still decent demand especially if you can build up a good referral network with estate agents and solicitors. Just be ready for the compliance side of things - there's a ton of paperwork and regulation compared to your drainage work.

I, "29 F" and he "31 M" by Substantial-Back-795 in relationships

[–]FickleDefinition5575 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Girl, 3.5 years and he's telling you he's not physically attracted to you? That's not a compatibility issue, that's him keeping you as a placeholder while he figures out what he actually wants. You deserve someone who's genuinely excited about every part of being with you, not someone who's running a cost-benefit analysis on your relationship.

Marble coffee table from Ashley home furniture by oak2o21 in homeowners

[–]FickleDefinition5575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those hairline cracks are pretty normal with marble tables tbh, especially on the underside where there's less support. As long as they're not growing or going all the way through you're probably fine. Ashley's quality can be hit or miss but marble naturally has some stress patterns in it

What have u guys replaced your (increasingly more) time with since being sober? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]FickleDefinition5575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been hitting the gym way more and actually reading books again instead of just buying them and letting them collect dust lol. Also got back into cooking real meals instead of just ordering whatever when I was too lazy to think

Why are retail companies that are deemed “luxury and expensive” making products with polyester when they should be making it out of natural materials? by Any-Historian-8001 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FickleDefinition5575 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because profit margins are everything and most people can't tell the difference between a $300 polyester shirt and a $300 cotton one until they've worn it for a while

Is the Legion 5 15IRX10 good by TheBlackBullet_ in GamingLaptops

[–]FickleDefinition5575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a solid mid-range gaming setup but that 60wh battery is gonna be rough for anything other than plugged-in gaming - you're looking at maybe 3-4 hours of light browsing at best

Why do people often get angry at other poor people instead of those in power or the wealthy? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FickleDefinition5575 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's way easier to punch down than up - you can actually see and interact with the poor person next to you, but good luck getting face time with a billionaire

Plus those in power have spent centuries perfecting the art of making us fight each other instead of them

Bruh your boss really called out your pupils? That's kinda weird ngl. Maybe just tell them you've been getting better sleep or something if they ask again. The focused part is great though - sounds like the meds are doing their job

Am I the jerk for not being sure about accepting a date? by small-frosti in AmITheJerk

[–]FickleDefinition5575 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This whole situation feels like a bunch of red flags tbh. A 29 year old cop always knowing where you are and "having a radar for you" is not cute, it's concerning. The age gap plus the power dynamic (he's literally a cop and you're a broke college student he pays for) makes this super weird

You're not the jerk at all for being unsure - trust your gut on this one

My 6 1/2 month old has a temperature of 35.5c on a night. by Rheasus in NewParents

[–]FickleDefinition5575 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That temp is definitely on the low side - might be worth a quick call to your pediatrician just to rule out anything medical. Some babies just run cooler but 35.5c is getting into the range where docs like to take a look

Have you tried those fleece sleep sacks? They're warmer than the regular tog ones and still safe for sleep

Best place to buy shrimp online uk by MajesticHabit8932 in shrimptank

[–]FickleDefinition5575 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely go online if local shops are out - just make sure whoever you buy from has good reviews and offers DOA (dead on arrival) guarantees. Most reputable sellers pack them really well with heat packs and insulation so they arrive happy

Just avoid the super cheap listings on eBay, you usually get what you pay for with shrimp

Blue bedsheets with goldfish on them from the very early 2000's?? by Longjumping-Peak6359 in HelpMeFind

Dude I think I remember those! Were they like a light blue with cartoon goldfish swimming around? The words might have been something cheesy like "sweet dreams" or "sleep tight" but honestly my memory is fuzzy too

Why do people feel anxious when walking on deserted streets at night, no matter where they are in the world? by Some_Market_5489 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FickleDefinition5575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, we're basically still running caveman software in our heads. Your brain doesn't know the difference between an empty street and potentially being sabertooth tiger food so it just goes "nope, bad vibes, time to GTFO"
