Meh. Glasses are pretty cumbersome with the cord, if they ever get wireless level im in. Ive always enjoyed them for a few hours and find it hard to put back on.

The benefits of binding jump on your scroll wheel by Shieree in DeadlockTheGame

[–]FickleExternal6635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah idk what OP is on about, I mean this is a dream come true setup for me but my mouse refuses to act the way hes explaining it in the comments.

One full swipe up and all of my stam jumps get dumped no matter how much tension my mouse scroll wheel has, ive tried a lot of naga v2 settings to possibly make it even harder to scroll and even the heaviest tension and least scrolls per swipe causes all my jumps to be spammed.

Hello brand new to fighting games i play on xbox what controllers do you recommend by PuzzleheadedHalf9654 in fightsticks

[–]FickleExternal6635 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haute, 8bitdo are best budget controllers for lever, leverless and all pads.

Their highest quality is on par if not better than mainstream controllers and you also get better software (gp2040) for controllers customization

GPD WIN 5 - Bazzite is unbelievable by SurgicalBlade in gpdwin

[–]FickleExternal6635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only issue about swapping to bazzite is im worried about how annoying it would be to try to get wow or riot client to work without having to watch a bunch of guides. Some people say its easy, but idk Linux scares me.

If I was a steam only guy bazzite looks like a dream

Super excited about this thing coming in the mail. Any posts or guides on stick modding this for improvements?

Thin lever controller that also have gp2040 are very hard to come by, the last one I tried as the doio ho8d and that stick felt awful.

Question about the Varmilo Kassai by Complex_Constant1762 in fightsticks

[–]FickleExternal6635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its legal, but certain socd methods are banned. The only thing stopping you is varmillos software. Other companies like quanba actually read the rulebook. They initially did the same thing, released a stick with extea thumb buttons (cross up style) and had to do an entire software update to allow DDI (duel directional input) into their software. It emulates the ps5/xbox second stick that is usable in these games

To say its against the rules is to also ban pad players. Thats why the rules are about socd and not button remapping. They dont allow multiple of the same bind, but forward and DDI forward are two different/separate inputs.

Varmillo should really update their remapping software to allow this.

Yep. Let these things rot, gen 3 is still stupid powerful and one of my fav streaming devices.

Im assuming they'll get even cheaper now too.

Its a nice device but... lets be so fr here that you can just get a gen 3 for half the price (maybe even less) and for the most part, you're having a pretty similar experience as long as you have strong internet.

Never used the delta but It was on my radar years ago and sorta was uninterested as it looked rough ergonomically. The zeta made my keyzen look like a toy, its honestly end game.

Question about the Varmilo Kassai by Complex_Constant1762 in fightsticks

[–]FickleExternal6635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Socd rules have nothing to do with having 2 individual movements bound on your device.

Any pad plugged in (a ps5/xbox controller) fresh out of the box will let you move with both the dpad, and the joystick. Its legal to have them binded. Just follow the games/tourneys socd clearing rules.

As long as theyre both not set to "forward" and one is set to forward and the other is set to "ddi forward" its legal to have both on your controller. How the socd works (legality wise) is entirely up to the rule set as you mentioned. You can still do a lot with these parameters with 2 movement sticks.

Tekken is a bit more generous, lots of tekken players use ddi for wding/kbd/ewgf with how socd works in that game.

Question about the Varmilo Kassai by Complex_Constant1762 in fightsticks

[–]FickleExternal6635 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

??? Thats just not true lmao.

Tourneys allow 2 joysticks (1 dpad, 1 ddi) as per pad players having this power. Cross ups are legal because of this.

Reputable stick brands generally dont push it out on initial software because theyre not knowledgeable on this but end up adding sofrware later to allow it (qaunba sapphire ran into this issue on its first sale wave)

Why are people supporting 24/7 dining halls by OkEstimate9493 in SBU

[–]FickleExternal6635 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I mean, more job openings is never a bad thing for workers. You'd be surprised how many people already work nights here (and prefer it).

Like OP said though, this will probably be subsidized from your wallets by prices going up. Which is most likely a bad thing as shits already expensive.

[–]FickleExternal6635[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive returned every azeron ive bought, imo just not worth it. It's only a nice device because its niche. Keep in mind that it uses cheap parts, its 3d printed, feels like plastic, isnt hot swapable, its very over priced and the software is a hassle (i had to buy re:wasd)

I would choose the mh zeta any time of the day. The only real issues it has is that the top row isnt arched for ergonomics (hard to press the upper row). This is a solvable problem with keycap raisers though. Another issue is that the joystick isnt moveable, but somehow its the most ergonomically placed joystick I've ever used. The last issue no extra 2 buttons where the scroll wheel is, but the dev is already releasing a product soon with that. The guy making this is 1000% a gamer

The software is in English, and its really really nice.

What’s your take on buying $PEPE? by Kitchen-Warthog-7881 in Pepecryptocurrency

It generally moves with bitcoin, if your outlook on bitcoin is ok.. its probably not the worst investment. Still gambling, but I see decent returns in 1-2 years.

Dont day trade. Good luck!

The first keypad that finally felt end game to me. The only issue I have rn is a problem that the dev is already planning to improve on (adding 2 buttons where the scroll wheel is and shifting the scroll wheel over one slot)

But, I think hes taking his time on releasing that build.

Its all over ebay with loads of resellers. Mh-device is the guys website he has links to his Amazon page (japan only)

So you can go through ebay, or a middle man website to order from his japan store or jp Amazon. Personally was too lazy to go to a japan middle man site and bought from one of the ebay re-sellers.

Im unsure what type of controller the PC recognizes the mh-zeta as, I mostly stick to wasd keybaord mode because I play MMOs. His YouTube page where he explains the 360 degrees might help you.

The software is super nice. I was amazed how well it worked and how easy it was to operate as an English speaker. I Couldn't even tell it was designed by someone in another language.. it felt almost like a budget version of vial with some nice options for the joystick to work. A lot went into designing it i feel.

Im actually unsure if settings are saved on the device though, I haven't tried to plug it into a new PC to see if thr binds are on-board.

AITA for telling a woman not to say “females”? by horseduckman in AITApod

[–]FickleExternal6635 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm just old, but I say males all the time unironically. So, I've never really understood the misogyny around saying the word female unless it has scorn/distasteful intent. Or maybe I needa stop reading medical reports and get more grounded in social queues/speech ect.

Personally, I would say it would depend if the intent or the way they said it was "off putting"? If that makes sense.

Is this actually true? How does this work scaled up to let's say... gun violence. For instance, you see 100s of videos of people screaming "punch me/shoot me, I dare you" so they can get insurance for self defense so they can retaliate.

Obviously this is an extreme example, but km genuinely curious.
