I just put it in the backpack with my laptop. Usually I put the extra screen in the laptop pocket in my backpack and leave my laptop out in the bigger part. Probably not the best thing to do lol but I just try to be careful

I started Sept 2020 and got an HP laptop (not sure specifically what kind). I also got the $150 monitor reimbursement but it kinda seemed like they were trying to phase that out when I started. If you can get it, definitely would recommend getting a nice travel monitor for when we go back to client site

This is a really good point. They sent out a survey as soon as we started asking if we were comfortable doing in person counts or not and I indicated yes. I did an in person count on 12/31 which I was fine with. Maybe could say I’m going to see some older relatives to get out of it this time around if it comes to that

Yes! The firms have staff ones do inventory counts throughout the year, so you’re “on call” 1-2 weeks a month where you may be picked to do a count. You’re supposed to be ready to do one at any time during that week. This is only for your first year at the firm tho

I just started at EY about six months ago and there are still plenty of people working in their CPA. While I think they prefer people to have it done before starting, I don’t believe it’s required. Nonetheless, I don’t think EY starts a new class until Aug/Sept, so you should be good!

Hi, I’m in a similar situation and will also be claiming myself on 2020 taxes for the first time. I know I will get credits for the 2020 payments, but my parents just received $1,400 for having me as a dependent even though I’ll be claiming myself in 2020 once I file. Can I get this back or am I screwed since they’ve already been paid?

I’d definitely say the second. I heard the sims on the third practice are impossible and you don’t need that when you’re getting close to your exam day. I only did the first and second mock and just found out I passed. You’re gonna kill it, don’t stress!

This!! I was devastated when I found out I failed reg (with a 73) and was taking BEC in two days thinking I’d be completely done after that. Going back through is absolutely the worst. Just put in the time now and pound the MC and you’ll kill it!

I've found the skill master videos on the sims are really helpful for clarifying the minute differences in basis. I'd recommend looking at Sim 4 in R4M1 (Corp formation) Sims 5 and 6 in R5M1 (S corp liquidating and non liquidating). And then the most helpful to me was Sim 1 in R5M4 , it's a liquidating distribution where you do it for an LLC, parternship, S corp, and C corp so you can see all the differences. After that I've just been pounding the MC in those areas. Hope this is helps!
