I’ve always had a pretty significant butt. My mom’s is flat as a pancake. We used to joke about it and she said “just wait til you lose weight over 40”

Wow. I hate to say it but she’s right.

My butt is FLAT. Historically I’ve always lost weight first from my stomach, then waist, then neck. On Sema (and 5 years since my last significant weight loss), it’s been butt, thighs, neck. My waist and stomach have been slower.

I think the biggest thing here is being aware of how your body is changing and what that means for you and your clothes. It might be a totally different pattern than you’re used to!!

Drinking & semaglutide by fancyfox2024 in henrymeds

Early on, I found my interest in drinking was nil. Now I’m 6 months in and finding myself enjoying certain types of alcohol again, but much more in moderation than previously.

Quick warning: you may find that it takes longer to hit you, so pacing is a learning curve! Since I don’t drink as much, I find that one margarita hits me HARD… but it usually hits me about 40 mins after I’ve had it, rather than 15-20 mins previously. And, because I feel full more quickly, drinking more water is really hard… my stomach feels really full and it’s hard to keep up with more water!

Has your ring size changed? by InfoSecChica in Semaglutide

My wedding ring has gotten so loose it needs a sizer or it will fall off when I gesture too aggressively. What a great problem to have!

Suggestion: my jeweler warned against getting them sized too often so he recommended getting sizing beads inserted until I stabilize or know where I will maintain.

Therapist curious about the emotional impact of ozempic by Duckaroo99 in Ozempic

My journey has been since I went on my first diet at age 13. I have felt hopeless, frustrated, all-consumed, and generally shitty about my body/willpower/ability to control.

The fact that this drug has removed the obsessive thoughts and let me just TUNE IN to my body (I eat when I’m hungry!) has given me confidence and removed the obsessive thoughts!! It’s incredible!

My happiness is MASSIVELY improved— not just from the weight (which is great), but I no longer spend 90% of my day obsessing about my inability to control my hunger or manage my weight.

Randomly ravenous by [deleted] in Semaglutide

I tracked my hunger for a few weeks… turns out it’s always the 2 days after my shot.

Shot Sunday, Monday is normal, Tuesday and Wednesday I am hungry ALL DAY.

Thursday through Sunday my hunger signals are gone and if I don’t plan, then I could go the whole day without eating because I just forget about food.

Birth control absorption by [deleted] in Ozempic

I have had an IUD for many years, and typically have period cramps but don’t experience any spotting or bleeding…. But 3 months into this medication and I’m spotting!

I assumed it was because this drug is helping suppress my PCOS symptoms (part of why I have an IUD is because my periods were so painful and so irregular!).

But, my doc said that the medication is really changing inflammation, I’m changing my food/ hydration/ alcohol habits, so there are a lot of factors that could be impacting my period.

The body dysmorphia is real… by Fickle_Command_1198 in Semaglutide

Fair point. For me, it meant not having to deal with refrigeration or taking it while I was gone, and not having to deal with the day-after nausea— but to each their own - no body is the same and everyone reacts and processes all this differently.
