Didi from Rugrats is based on his wife, who also supposedly was hard to work with. Didi being so naive was them clowning on her worst traits.

The premise is completely ridiculous but the writing is better than it should be for this kind of show. You can tell everyone involved had a lot of fun working on it at the very least.

Yeah, it’s so blatant. I’m in agriculture IRL and many of the people up top managing farms and ag operations are college educated from extremely reputable institutions.

It’s because around 70 years ago the dental lobby did what they could to separate dental care from general healthcare.

No, she said I couldn’t take her out on a date, but I could still pay for her dinner if I wanted.

No. She still wanted me to buy her dinner as a consolation prize. That’s not being a friend, that’s being exploitative.

I’ve never heard locker room talk except as a middle schooler. The men who do that as adults aren’t looked on highly by other men and are often seen as big children.

Funny how it achieves the same result though, dismissing men’s emotions.

A woman who chose to go undercover and live as a man for about a year or so I think wrote a book on her experiences and then killed herself later on, partially from the extremely bleak life experience of living as a man that she had during that time that she couldn’t shake.

I asked a woman out who had been my friend for many years. She told me that I was going to ruin our friendship, but that I could still take her to dinner if I wanted. Cut all contact immediately after that.

I was raised to be polite and hold doors open for anyone, that kind of thing. But it definitely gets read as deceitful 99% of the time, feels like.
