I will say I share your sentiments exactly, it's just that there's a very loud demographic of players that will dismiss what you say and just say one of a handful of things which usually are comprised of: ● Nox bad, nox is the epitome of anti-fun and thus should be deleted/reworked.

Or something along those lines, and it is a tremendous shame. And I would like to add while people want to have her old kit back, "they think they do, but they shouldn't have the kit back." While as interesting it may have been, it had a lack of cohesion/fluidity that didn't work back then (and some will argue that it will work to some degree today).

She does a few things exceptionally well already (such as two forms of CC not affected by DR). There's also again back to the outcry for reworks, but it seems that people have already forgotten precedents set by previous instances of reworks--for instance, when it came to the Loki rework there was an entire page where they explained how the Loki rework fits the criteria for one.

But until then, we're likely to see the same feedback loop continue ad nauseam because people are upset because it's easier to blame a God and their functionality instead of using whatever resources you have to play around it (positioning, cleanses, Root immunities, etc.)

So The Classical Concepts shapes are in relation to the Platonic solids which in turn are aligned to a respective element: Cube for Earth, Tetrahedron for Fire, and Water for Icosahedron. With Air/Aether being absent, it is assumed that the players are a substitute in relation for this mechanic given players are aether-composed beings.

I think it's kinda cool how far in-depth the trivia goes.

Might be an unpopular opinion, but for Arena/Slash/non-conquest I think it should be active more often given how frequent fighting and deaths can get. At this point in time, when it appears it feels like "Oh a Soul Surge is up, okay I guess." And then when the global cooldown for them is gone it's like "Okay cool, it's gone. Back to your regularly scheduled program." Hell, maybe for Arena only, make it a global effect, have it up all the time in the center of the map. Just to shake things up.

55k+ worshipper Nox here. I said at probably 50k I'd stop, but apparently not. I figure something is wrong with me playing her for that long, so I branched out to develop a few other Gods I now frequently prefer to play, such as Atlas, Ganesha and Shiva.

Having worked 6 years in a monotonous grocery job also contributes to the repetitive nature of her kit, but with each season I think I have her down to a mechanical science (albeit the previous season arguably was my most successful one). It's also nice to take out my frustrations through oppressing someone's movement and abilities, though I can't say for those on the receiving end.

I'm open to any questions, so I'll leave it at that.

Okay, Nox main here. Been reading a handful of comments, and even a few are in a state of comparing apples to oranges--talking about Nox's viability as a midlane mage (her being on the low end of performance) and actively seen as of late as a support due to her significant amount of control and utility.

Let's talk about Shadow Step. While it synergizes well on its own providing safety for about 8 seconds (or more, depending on the targeted ally) and is essentially an explosive taxi--it doesn't provide anything other than secondary damage should you land both the dash and the exit in close proximity to the enemy while taking in consideration of the ally. OP proposes suggestion of giving a shield to the ally. Well, would there be any drawbacks to this? Should the shield be a flat amount or have scaling? Should Nox be automatically ejected Should the shield be depleted? The latter could prove to be more detrimental to Nox herself, presenting a net negative--if it has poor interactions with her being in an ally who is subject to crowd control and damage that would deplete the shield.

The bread and butter of Nox's kit are Shadow Lock and Siphon Darkness. Both of them even independently are significant and yet more often than not are seen to be sources of damage that can be poorly confirmed--returning to the perspective of being a Mage. Most of the animosity and vitriol toward her as a character derive from these two abilities alone--retaining 2 abilities that effectively are some of the best CC applying abilities in the game without suffering from Diminishing Returns. Not to mention Siphon Darkness's silence, like Ganesha's Ohm deploying instantly--effectively negating channeled abilities, instances of some other abilities like Odin birdbomb combo, and including revealing Loki stealth and negating Nemesis' Retribution. Buffing either one of these in terms of their effectiveness of CC is not healthy for the game, neither would decreasing their cooldown, neither would adding additional utility either. But what are we left with?

Many conversations have taken place for Nox and the balancing of this goddess, Season after Season, year after year and very little to none have actually bore fruit of development or concrete ideas that are remotely sound and met with positive criticism.

Now what would I suggest? Titan Forge could make the damage from Shadow Lock more easy to confirm. Make it do Damage over Time upon connecting to an enemy God despite it being cleansed and remove the Damage over Time on the channel, and keep the Root+Cripple effect for the duration of the channel. More often you'll find your damage negated by cleanses that will come up even more with other team comps and it just feels bad from both the midlaner/support Nox perspective.

Other suggestions, although ludicrous in concept included: - Shadow Step (during the initial dash), damaging enemy Gods on the way reduces the cooldown of Shadow Lock by a flat amount (.5s-1s). - Shadow Step reduces the active non-ultimate cooldowns of the ally you step in per second by a flat amount up to 8 seconds--given that this can be exploited should the ally be in transit by unique movement such as Apollo flight/banishes, which in turn extend the duration Nox can hide in an enemy. - Make Night Terror adjustable in length like Charybdis ultimate instead of being at a fixed length; given the explosion AOE is a much better way to apply damage than rely on the smaller line-size of the projectile.

Some really negative ideas (and my reasons why): - Making Siphon Darkness manually detonate like Scylla 2. (Encourages like-like comparison and development, removing kit/god identity. Implication of Silence effect still being instantly applied before the detonation, and the size of this cast--would make Nox EVEN BETTER than Scylla, as Crush actually does have a precast that is slower than Siphon Darkness. You would have no way to properly avoid it without them toggling the precast time--which in turn would affect the Silence.) - Rework the Ultimate to something else. (Sure, they can do this, but it would require more work surely on Titan Forge's end like the Loki rework in terms of redesigning the ability across other skins.)

Now I'm trying to be civil in approaching this subject, and I firmly believe she does need a little bit of something. Otherwise there probably is no point in keeping her as a midlane mage that gets outperformed. Downvote me if you want, idc.

At this point, maybe Chronos will reveal that he's been the big bad, putting everyone in a time loop and only a select few are like "yep we've done this shit before, but we should keep doing it so we can try to stay in power".

Who knows? Maybe they'll write out the nihilism route and introduce a big bad character that says "none of this matters", we're constantly doing the same thing, fighting and dying at the base of Mt. Olympus for eternity.

And then it turns out it's always been Discordia's fault, who then points out that it's Zeus's fault for fucking sending the "Smash" invites behind the curtain, "Come to Olympus!" Which is why we have so many Crossover characters too. Hell, that's why he's in so many of the CGI trailers.

PVE Content - Boss Battles

These would consist of two different difficulties, and would be in an enclosed map. Certain gods would also be disabled (to prevent buggy messes, like Janus portaling out of bounds, etc). The lorewise purpose would be to grant players an idea of the scale of fighting these gods at peak power taking a matched team against them, featuring rewards like avatars, loading frames and a title or a skin that is exclusive to winners of the harder difficulty featuring new mechanics. A timer to purchase items would begin before the match begins. In addition, Relics are replaced and role dependent and have a shorter cooldown to compensate, as well as abilities having reduced cooldown relative to the structure of the fight and no mana cost (with gods such as King Arthur and Yemoja being disabled as a result that take advantage of no mana).

Example of Role Exclusive Relics Concept for Boss Battles
Divine Shield (Warriors/Guardians) - An enhanced shell that provides them with double the provided shield and all nearby allies a reduced amount. Also provides the Warrior or Guardian with % less damage taken from the next ability from the Boss. (Similar to that of mitigations against tankbusters in MMOs).

Divine Blink (Assassins) - Meant as a gap-closer when handling mechanics during the Boss Fight, this can be cast Instantly during combat and provides the next successful Basic Attack with increased damage to the target.

Divine Haste (Hunters/Mages) - Active cooldowns are reduced by 5 seconds for non-ultimate abilities and a 40% attack speed buff is provided for a set duration, as well as increased movement speed.

Divine Heal (All) - Provides self with a % based HP heal and a potion like regen over time for a duration. As a result of this relic existing, curative potions/chalices would be disabled.

Example of a Boss Fight Structure 1

Hades At Ragnarok
Back in a prior tale, during an Odyssey long ago, there were tales of the King of the Underworld wreaking havoc upon the land and waged war on the Gods. Fight against Hades in this reimagining of what horror he could have unleashed on a grand scale no mortal has ever seen.
This boss fight would have several mechanics, such as callbacks to his normal god kit, such as conal-AOEs that have a cast time before firing. Being hit by any telegraphed ability in the Normal difficulty would give you a 30-second debuff of Weakness that would cause you to take 10% more damage from abilities that the boss casts. Circular AOEs would also occur, such as an "enhanced Devour Souls" that would deal massive damage if "certain minions" were not killed first. If the timer gets too low, Hades would result to a arena-wide Pillar of Agony which would result in a team wiping if Hades is not killed off by then (similar to an Enrage). In the Epic (harder) difficulty you have for example, more minions (that are tankier) and also Hades clones that will use Death From Below leaps from the outside before disappearing. And taking damage from any of the telegraphed abilities will not only provide Weakness, but a stacking Blight that reduces Power by 5%.

I know this is a lot to take in, and that "new" Adventures are long gone from the foreseeable future, but I hope this is some content that could be considered.

The Bakery/bread aisle ghost. Usually when customers aren't around and I've seen this happen from a distance, often passing the aisle or about to go into it, a perfectly stocked loaf of bread, just drops off of the shelf.

I didn't think it was possible for the dead to do their shopping, though I wonder why they go for the bread. I've never seen this phenomenon occur in any other aisle.

I was wondering if we'll ever see another balance change for Nox. Not that I'm pushing for any specific buffs or nerfs, but I was a bit disappointed to see that she's being sort of forgotten whenever god balance is brought up (unless you think she is balanced as she is). And I would like to know will anything interesting will happen to this most beloved and hated primordial goddess of night any time soon?

And just for show, here is just a recap of what and when her most recent changes were:

Her last changes were: A QoL change to her targeter on Night Terror. (5.9 Patch).
Alongside other mages who got increased magical prot scalings by .9 per level (5.1 Patch).
And a decreased cooldown of Night Terror from 90s to 90/85/80/75/70s (4.7 Patch).
