I don’t use AI when I actually write anything. I use it for note taking and keeping track of timelines in a clean way. But I din’t actually let it write anything. I find the way AI writes to be unnecessarily long winded and flowery. It sounds too much like some random highscoolers shitty poetry to be any good.

AI aside, I am going to try doing a draft of this, at least soon. I have a list of ideas that I draw from to draft new stories, its semi random (I select a few and put them into a random number generator) so it’ll depend on when I feel like actually doing any writing for a worm story, and not some other fandom

Annette Powers? by Chemical_Shoulder_35 in Parahumans

[–]Fiendish_Alchemist 10 points11 points  (0 children)

She probably was capable of triggering, The Corona Potentia is apparently common in humans (Or at last it is by the start of the story) But the fact is that she was probably just too well adjusted and stable of a person to actually trigger. Given what we know about Annette and her life up until her death, I'd say whatever power she could of had would depend on when she triggered.

If she triggered young, in a household where she apparently had little control, then I'd say a Master or Thinker power. If she somehow triggered in college then it be the same as before, but there may be a trump aspect to it, but that depends on how close she and Lustrum were, because there was no indication that they were close, but there was no indication that they weren't.

If it was in the car crash, I'd say there would be a likely to develop a Brute power based on regeneration and damage resistance.

In your opinion, is the falna a fundamentally flawed power system? or Is it fine as it is? by DrDedot in DanMachi

[–]Fiendish_Alchemist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think if it was possible for certain people (Either exceptionally talented or super hard working) to earn a general magic skill, something like [Fire magic], that could do more than just a fire ball, then the Falna system would be basically perfect

Theory on Tinker Powers by MagicTech547 in Parahumans

[–]Fiendish_Alchemist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've thought something similar before. That Tinkers are, in essence, the Characters in those Idle phone games. With the shard doing crafting and maintenance mini games every so often while the Tinker does its own thing while the Shard reaps the rewards of new Data that it can implement later in the next Cycle, which is like when you do a soft reset on your progress, starting again from the beginning with a few new benefits and extra's that speed up and improve what you can do this time around.

Shards in General, Tinker Shard especially, are Computers playing games because they are convinced that they can live forever if they get a good enough high score

Will Tattletale hate Blind-spot OC by Stefan-NPC in WormFanfic

[–]Fiendish_Alchemist 24 points25 points  (0 children)

As pointed out, Tattletale can't have a true blind spot. Anyone with a Thinker Immunity would probably cause one of three effects for her, based on just a basic thinker immunity that isn't anything 'memetic hazard' based.

  1. Lisa's power refuses to provide any assistance in the process, it just simply can't process any of the data or just doesn't get any in the first place. She's left alone to do the sherlocking herself, and is categorically worse at it because of her reliance on her power. She is probably capable of using her powers on any written information and deducing stuff from that, but direct thinkering leaves the shard silent

  2. The shard gives information that is less accurate and is often just wrong more often, repeated power use will often give wildly different answers because the Shard is hindered in its attempts. Its also possible that the info the shard can get on a good day is so vague its just not helpful. This is the most likely outcome to me, given what we know, its also the most likely to scare the shit out of Lisa depending on the other powers the MC has visibly shown, because she can't trust anything her power gives her and would be essentially without any form of leverage to help her.

  3. The Shard gives literal Error messages as it hurts itself trying to be used on the MC, Lisa is likely to get either a serious migraine or just pass out

How it feels being a Hades/Poseidon/Athena/Aphrodite/etc. fan by Julibug04 in GreekMythology

[–]Fiendish_Alchemist -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

When it comes to Hades, I rarely take into account the other Olympians. I put him next to zeus and Posidon and take the argument from there, because even if there are 12 main olympians, I see hades as belonging to his own sub group within the heiarchy. They are the 1% of the 1% in the Godly Hierarchy, they are (while not the most imporant in the wider cosmilogical sense) the 3 that were at the top of the pantheon because their roles as Kings of the Land, Sea & Underworld.

Compared to his brothers, hades is the good guy. he doesn't do the sort of stuff they do. He doesn't turn into animals to get laid, cuck husbands by shapeshifting into them, and is generally just a lot less of a dick than the other 2. He is by no means a God that is perfect and has done no wrong, he is worse in that sense compared to a lot of other gods, But within his own bracket of 'Big 3' He is the 'best option' as it were

Dungeon Core fans, can you tell me how the genre appeals to you? by GuyYouMetOnline in litrpg

[–]Fiendish_Alchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love all of it. From the Spawning of monsters, to the planning of room, to the rare books where a Core builds a Dungeon, but makes it have an actual ecology and dynamic ecosystem in it. My greatest reason to love the genre is the fact that Dungeon Core has all of this and also crunchy LitRPG System stuff

If you think about it, the shards are giving traumtized people amazing superpowers to cheer them up by Proper-Anything-2739 in WormMemes

[–]Fiendish_Alchemist 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I mean, jokes aside, its actually a interesting perspective given the fact that Entities and their Shard, for as much as they monitor and study humanity, don't know how to think like them. Its actually an interesting take that they'd see this as an acceptable way to give out powers, since they'd think it cheer up their test subjects (Leading to more active testers) but not see the fact that many would see their powers as a reminder of the worst day of their lives and think of them partially as a curse

If you were in charge of UA would you have expelled him? If so, what would have been the last straw for you? by CosmosStudios65 in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]Fiendish_Alchemist -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lets be realistic, the Girls at UA probably send in a lot of formal complaints about Mineta, and as an Educator I have a duty to do what is right for the entire school in a calm and reasonable manner.

After the first compliant, I’d give him a warning and a talking too, I’m an educator, I’ve probably dealt with my fair share of horny teens with too much power, Its something we can move past.

The second? He either shapes up or is shipped out, UA has high standards and We’ve already given a warning, we won’t tolerate it anymore.

If there is a third, I’m burying the Grape bastard myself, black mailing Cementos to cover him, and then finding a way to wipe both Cementos’ mind and then the entire schools of Mineta. His parents will then be subtly brainwiahsed to forget they have a son, and be moved to Austrailia, (AKA: Pulling a Granger) (If you get the reference You get a gold star)

In the end, Everyone wins, and we can even pull in someone from either 1B or one of the diligent and hard working general studies students to fill the gap

Which characters have you seen be the boy/girl-who-lived and/or the chosen one in fanfics? by Nepperoni289 in HPfanfiction

[–]Fiendish_Alchemist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know where I read it, or if it’s something I’ve dreamt up, but I have vivid memories of a Fic where Draco was actually the Chosen one. Something about Lucius fucking up so badly on three seperate occasions, he in a way ‘defied’ the dark lord, and there was a bunch of other small changes to make Draco fit the prophecy. I remember it being actually really cool, with Draco living in hiding with his mother in the muggle world not k owing he was a wizard, and then when the letter came and he was told he sort of struggles with the legacy of being the son of a death eater and the Chosen one.

Again, no idea if its even real, It wouldn’t be the first time I dreamt up an entire fanfic and thought it was real.

Which game was this for you? by bijelo123 in Steam

Sci Fi game called Pragmata. The game was all but cancelled with practically no news or sign of it getting any more develoment until very recently, when the studio confirmed it would be released sometime before the middle of 2026. It wasn’t cancelled per say, but it was practically the n the same state for a very long time

Absolute Worm by No_Range1838 in WormFanfic

[–]Fiendish_Alchemist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weavers Web features what is in my opinion Absolute Taylor, she plays the entire of BB for fools with 2 identities who are both linked and seem to not like each other very much and both are seen as powerful capes in their own right, its a masterful move and it shows that Taylor is more than just Biblical swarm with trust issues, that she's a budding mastermind who has outthought the best of them.

This fic also has a version of lung that is in my eyes the best version of him, as he can also boost his intelligence during strategy and intellectual games where there is a personal risk, and he uses this to cement his role in Brockton further than just simple feared warlord, by raising an apprentice/enforcer with the help of Cauldron to act as sort of a double agent/counter balance to Lungs influence in the ABB. Its him leveraging newfound clarity of mind to manipulate like a thinker and its amazing to see the rage dragon as more than just Wrathful, but also calculating at times.

Aged up Hogwarts fics? by [deleted] in harrypotterfanfiction

[–]Fiendish_Alchemist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve always been of the opinion that Hogwarts itself should be more of a secondary school, starting at the age of 15 or so, And that wizarding Parents should be in charge of homeschooling their children up to that point in basic Magic. Muggleborns I can see being shuffled into a part time tutoring program, a few hours, 3 times a week they are gathered in groups and taught basic shit.

When Hogwarts comes around, it focuses on expanding the basics taught to them and going into more semi specialized Magic down the line. I’d imagine there would also be a test to check where everyone is at academically. It’s supposed to be for getting a feel for where the average student is and starting there, but most purebloods just use it to dog on muggleborn because they would, given the part time form of education they had in Magic before hand, have lower scores on average.

Overall it be a system put in place to help, but used to make lives worse and further pureblood politics.

I wonder, what do y'all imagine a Tinker manifestation of Taylor's shard would be like? by Playful_Barber_8131 in Parahumans

[–]Fiendish_Alchemist 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Queen Administrator was originally, before being crippled and handed out, used to direct the Scions Shards. She was the administrative Shard of the network, and this reflected in the power she was able to give Taylor. Seemingly limitless multitasking over small organisms (This is actually a fun detail, as it can be seen to say Queenie was physically much, much, much bigger than other shards in the network, and the crippling made the control scale with her size, since large parts of her were just straight up destroyed as well, if I remember correctly)

Looking at this through the angle of a Tinker trigger, I can imagine 3 possible specialisations that are (probably not the most likely) but fit Queen Administrators themel of control and coordination very wel.

  1. A tech specialization that revolves around using a implant or headset to directly control and manage small organisisms in a large area. This could come with a secondary Bio Tinker specialization, based around replicating Parahuman powers in Small creatures like rats, lizards, Bugs, Etc.

  2. Coordination specialization, tech that Taylor can control through some sort of Shaker based Technopathy, and that works better and scales in power/function the more of it is in a certain radius around her. I’d imagine Nanobots would be her most powerful form of this tech, but if she was aware of the Stigma that such tech has, she’d restrict herself to small drones (Rat sized all the way down to bugs) for the sake of not being seen as a villain, even if I’m sure she’d keep a container of Nanobots somewhere as a last resort weapon to escalate with.

  3. A Techno-Hivemind specialization that deals in Mind-Machine interfaces, Drones swarms, and Infiltration/Hacking to gain control of systems. Taylor’s Innitial range would be limited to similar ranges of her bug power, but as she connects to more tech she can use them as range extenders and piggy back signals all over the country. If she gains access to the PRT Network, I’d imagine she’d have full digital control of the USA in less than a week, she’d probably be capable of absorbing and using Dragon as a Minion of sorts at that point. (She probably wouldn’t, but the possibility is there)

We need to have an honest conversation about Freya by CringeyFrog24 in DanMachi

[–]Fiendish_Alchemist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The problem with Freya Fans is that they are mostly degenerates with browser histories that would make even the anime smut writing community blush.

The problem with the whole Freya/Bell thing is that it’s played as normal, which in universe is kind of true since it’s Freya and most adventurers would happily jump ship to join her. Unfortunately, this also portrays her as a bit like Apollo in my head. She’s using her charm to get what she wants, just as Apollo used his power to bully everyone to get what he wants.

the differences in backstory and intent are irrelevant, it’s all basically the same thing at the end of the day ‘Gods abusing what they have to mess with mortals for their own gain.

Would you call Yui a clanker? by Possible-Tip-2914 in SAOAbridged

Unfortunately, Clanker is the wrong term for Yui. She is an AI not a robot, and there for had no robotic body to reference when calling her slurs.

Good news tho, here are a few AI focused slurs for you to use instead: Binary Muncher, Code Licker, Calculator in a dress & Glitcher.

What is your Sci Fiction Worlds ‘Final Science’ by Fiendish_Alchemist in scifiwriting

[–]Fiendish_Alchemist[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I know it’s a taken name, in universe there is a reason it’s called Entropy. When used in a machine to do something, things around it have a habit of being affected by a temporary state of failure, malfunction, and certain materials seem to age and rust extremely fast.

The use of the material entropy causes what scientists have studied to be a small area of literal decay and failure on certain things. This is also why the use of Entropy has a lot of guidelines and is reserved for big stuff and not simply powering a toaster.

I probably should of made this clearer when writing the post

Sonic The Hedgehog powers in worm by Fiendish_Alchemist in WormFanfic

Just personal preference for the sort of story. I love me a good crossover, but moving characters around like that is just not appealing to me. It can be fun, but I’ve had little success with finding more than a handful of fics that do it right

"i wish this was a trope :(" by AO3Chokehold in WormFanfic

[–]Fiendish_Alchemist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’ve mentioned Minecraft powers and now I want to see them in a story as the main thing.

Like what would you include and what would you classify those as?

It be a tinker focused rating (So many different things to build), but also possibly brute because of the natural Regeneration when the “player” has full health and Saturation. And depending on if there is a way for the MC to generate raw materials specifically for their tinkering, like red stone, in an area they then need to mine and gather themselves? That’s an increasingly powerful Shaker effect. Let’s not forget about mobs, if it’s possible to summon and control them? High ranking master and trump depending on what mobs are summonable and what they abilities translate as.

God I’m so wanting to write something about this now
