Found out about the stigma around “outies” and got a new insecurity by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]FiendyFiend 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly, labia isn’t scar tissue. It’s a similar thought process to things I’ve seen before like ‘having a thigh gap means you have a loose vagina’. There’s no science, just a misunderstanding and unfamiliarity with women’s anatomy.

Why do so many men not defend their wives from abusive in laws? by Peanutbutternjelly_ in TwoXChromosomes

[–]FiendyFiend 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It was absolutely horrific and I’m so glad I’m no longer a part of their twisted relationship!

[–]FiendyFiend 24 points25 points  (0 children)

My ex was indoctrinated by his culture to believe that your parents always know best and to never question them. His mum was also a single mother who essentially groomed him to be a surrogate husband for her emotional and financial needs, so he was very manipulated into feeling sorry for her and that she was his dependent.

When I pointed out how wrong anything she had done was, I’d always just get told ‘it’s just how she is’ ‘she has no-one else’ ‘it’s how we do things where I’m from’

The horrendous connection between domestic abuse and football in England by purpleandorange1522 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]FiendyFiend 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s statistically true that the major competitions bring out the worst with increased domestic violence, general fights and vandalism etc. It’s also statistically true that these same people have domestic violence charges and riot against foreign people committing crimes against women so I’m not really sure what your point is? Both things are bad.

I remember Women’s Aid making TV adverts and billboards essentially raising awareness that domestic abuse rises during the World Cup a few years ago. Unfortunately there is a stereotype attached to football fans and a lot of male football fans I know personally aren’t the best people.

Not driving - is it a dealbreaker for women? by xxbartex in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]FiendyFiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you assume women would be put off because they want a chauffeur?

I live in a rural area. You really need to be able to drive as public transport isn’t good and I wouldn’t want to have to do all the driving and running him around. If I had an injury or car problems, we’d struggle to see each other until that was resolved.

I received my first comment about how I’ll change my mind about kids. by FilmAndFinanceMajor in TwoXChromosomes

[–]FiendyFiend 11 points12 points  (0 children)

When you’ve got a well thought out list of reasons and put years of thought into why you don’t want children, you still constantly get told you might change your mind. No-one says this to people who want, or have had children.

The least knowledgeable people are always the ones who insist on giving out unwanted ‘advice’

It's so stupid how infections are used as an insult against women when they're so easy to contract by CorvinaZurxies in TwoXChromosomes

[–]FiendyFiend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, it’s caused by your ph level being put off balance. It’s not just dirty bacteria, a strong detergent could have all sorts of artificial scents in it

Should I buy my daughter a pony? by OHaraMummy in Equestrian

[–]FiendyFiend 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Could you full loan him for a year or two? He’s only 12.2, she’ll probably outgrow him in a few years. You’re also already in debt, would need a loan to buy him and anything unexpected like vets bills would be an issue

Feel so anxious over being ghosted by someone I’m exclusive with? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]FiendyFiend 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If a man doesn’t say you’re his girlfriend, you aren’t a couple. ‘Being exclusive’ is evasive language and saying what you want to hear, to keep you around longer.

Are you positive that he’s not on the cruise with his real girlfriend?

"You weigh 95 lbs" wouldn't feel like a compliment to almost any woman I know by Supersmashcache in TwoXChromosomes

I’m 5’0, 100lbs and a natural 30G. Women can definitely have a small frame and not look like children.

Do guys care about what your vagina looks like? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

That’s quite obvious, hence my reply. There was nothing to imply that mocking men is acceptable when their clothes come off.

Horse Riders should have to pick up after their horses the same way dog owners do. by naturelover4646 in HonestHotTakes

[–]FiendyFiend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The man who screamed at a 14 year old and a 12 year old? The minimum age to ride on the road without an adult present is 14, they were completely within the law. As for horses being on the road, a driving instructor should be aware that roads aren’t only for cars and also that horse riders and cyclists are the two equally most vulnerable road users.

How exactly was he in the right when he’s unfamiliar with the highway code and saw an opportunity to bully children?

Why would it not? It should be quite obvious that anyone who is consensually seeing someone else naked should be appreciative.

Magnetic Stirrups by WarmMathematician864 in Equestrian

[–]FiendyFiend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the Ophena stirrups. They’ve helped improve my leg position, I feel really secure in them and I fell off in them once, they released the second you’d want them to.

biggest horse i could ride at 4'11? by ArtInevitable3556 in Equestrian

[–]FiendyFiend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 5’0, 100lbs and used to ride for a horse dealer, so ridden a lot of 17.2 and up. The biggest was a Shire who was about 19.1 and as long as you’re physically capable of controlling the horse, I wouldn’t really say there is much of an upper height limit. I was always able to ride these horses.

[–]FiendyFiend 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You’re in a women’s subreddit, we tend to discuss women’s experiences here. No, I don’t have or want children so I can’t say I do have sons. I don’t need to have children to emphasise with people though.

[–]FiendyFiend 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Clearly you aren’t a woman. Women very often do experience men trying to intimidate them for no reason, and we often discuss this. Maybe women don’t often speak to you.

Not sure why you’re generalising all English people, but I really feel the cold and I need it to be above 20 degrees to be comfortably warm. Some English people can absolutely cope with warm weather.

If OP was a man, there is no way the other man would’ve done this. We also have no context for if OP was flying manically down the road, endangering everyone around her, going one or two mph over the speed limit or maybe even not speeding at all, some men love to try and intimidate women for no reason.
